Tim took a $1200 deposit last year in May; still waiting for the garage door or the refund.

We paid a deposit of $1,200 for new garage doors in Feb/22, we had sporadic communication with Tim up until July/22 but have not heard back from him. Each time assuring us that the order had been placed and the doors would be instock soon.

Tim came highly recommended by my neighbour, a former plumber, who is very surprised at what we are going through.

Before finding another contractor, we would like to speak with Tim, however the phone number no longer works, the emails go un-answered and the facebook page is gone.

Like many other Im still waiting for my deposit from Sep 2021 to be returned. Tim was unable to fulfill an order for a new garage door install. After several delays and no shows at scheduled installs Tim offered to refund the deposit in Apr 2022 but he never did so. I have made several attempts to get my money back but there is no response from Tim or anyone from his company. Stay away from Speedy Overhead Door Services and pay a little extra to someone who is professional and ethical.

We paid $700 deposit back in May 2022 and still no show for our new garage doors. Cannot get a hold of Tim by email or phone. Would understand if there is a health issue or situation that would not allow him to install the doors however we have not heard anything from him in months. Now we are out $700 and no garage door.

Tim contacted me today with a sincere apology for the delay and explained that he has been dealing with ongoing serious health problems which saddened me, since I too am dealing with the serious health problems of my own daughter. As of today, Friday, December 16h, 2022, my deposit in the amount of $1500.00 has been e-transferred back to me in full. I wish Tim and his family good health and many blessings for Christmas and the new year.

No show no answer to my email or text. We work hard to get money and this Tim just show up and get our money. It is 1 year and still dont have my money back. Sadly this doesnt allow to use the word meaning that he get our money and leave.

Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as many posting here. I paid $900 over 6 months ago and Tim has never come to install my doors. He no longer answers my emails or responds to text messages.

I'm going to turn the matter over to the police.

Do not give Tim or his company any money.

Looks like I am not the only one in this boat. Paid $700 deposit September 2021 and no door installed yet ( now Nov 2022)...Tim visited my house, gave me the quote and I paid him via Etransfer. Was promised install will happen in about 6-8 weeks. since then there was always some excuse...supply chain issue, weather bad, busy, wife ill...and then he stopped replying completely. Just sent a text yesterday and nothing. Maybe we can form a group and figure out the best way to get back our deposits at least. Feel free to connect at 647-636-5860.

I too am waiting for install and have paid him deposit back in April. I am not sure what is happening as he installed my sisters garage doors a few years ago and900 provided excellent service. I am genuinely worried about this and was wondering if something has happened to him. I received a text as recent as sept 28th on install date.
I just joined this platform and not sure if anyone has heard back or what is everyone doing in order to claim back the deposits

I have been reluctant to leave a negative review because I am sympathetic to his situation (if it is infact true?)
I gave Tim $800 deposit on August of 2021 for
An install date of October 2021 and to this date I have not received the doors or my deposit back. Tim kept changing the install date, despite telling me he has the doors leaning against his shed but due to a family Illness was unable to keep any appointments for install.
I have been more than patient with him, listening and accepting every excuse but he has now completely stopped answering any of my messages and I fear I have ripped off. It is now a full year past my original install date and I have moved on because I cannot wait any longer. My doors were very much needed a year ago when I ordered them and needed even more
Now. It is clear that Tim will Not be fulfilling his commitment and I will seek action to recover my $800 deposit asap.
I do hope that Tim is able to sort out his personal life and continue with his business that did seem successful at one time. Unfortunately that is not the case now so I do. It recommend this company at this time.
