Tim was quick to provide us with a quote and send us an invoice for a deposit of $700 which we paid with on line transfer in April. At that time he told us there was a supply back log but informed us in July that our garage door had arrived. Since then he has given us two dates when he would come and install the new door but there has been a no show in both cases. Tim does not answer our texts, his voice mail is full and does not pick up the phone. He randomly texts us e.g. saying he will install on the weekend and we wait all weekend but no one shows up and no responses either. We have used Tim's services in the past, our current door was installed by him but I am not sure what has happened. We are kept hostage as we can not go to another vendor as Tim has our deposit and there is no indication from him that we will install our door or he will respond to us. We have contacted BBB and our next step is to take legal action to have our deposit returned. We are really disappointed.

On June 8, 2022, ordered a garage door for installation, sent deposit. Have received 8 different install dates, poor communication, lots of excuses. Asked Tim for "final" gauranteed date, and again a no show, no email, no phone call, nothing. Asked for a refund, nothing. Gave Tim a date for refund or I would post this, nothing. If he responds I expect some sort of bombastic reply, pay no attention, it's not real. Do yourself a favour, look at disgruntled customers beside me, and you decide.

The door was ordered in November 2021 and deposit paid. This door was for a building with no existing door, just a tarp. Tim has promised installation many times but always cancels or just doesnt show. No reply to calls or texts requesting a refund. Have contacted BBB and will take legal action to recoup my deposit.

Tim showed up very quickly when i called him to provide me an estimate. he provided me with a good price and asked for $1000 deposit which i paid and got electronic receipt for. He told me it could take up to 8 weeks which i agreed to and did not bother him till late August.( I paid him the deposit at the end of May).
When i contacted him at the end of August he told me he had talked to his supplier and would install the garage door in the week of August 29th for sure. I did not hear from him that week so texted him, he gave me the excuses that he was dealing with family matters and would call me the next day to set a date for installation. That was the last time he communicated with me. he has been ignoring my repeated calls and texts ever since, even after I gave him a last chance and told him if you does not reply to me I would be reporting his company to BBB!! In reading other reviews it appears this to be his usual routine! I am not left with no garage door and my $1000 appears to be gone!

Tim showed up at my home as I was getting quotes for a much needed single garage door, as mine is broken. April 30 2022 I e transferred Tim $500 for a deposit on a door that the contract reads would be installed between June 10 and 20th 2022. I did not bother him until August 8th and then the runaround ensued. On three occasions he booked, and we have prepared for him by making arrangements to be home from work and getting items out of the garage for him so he has room to work. On three occasions he does not show up and I have to reach out to him. There are lots of excuses but the main one is someone is sick. He then went behind my back and phoned my boyfriend and promised yet a fourth installation date and I know he will not show up. I am sending a registered letter and man did I have a hard time finding this business address. I did some digging and found his home address in Scarborough. I was going to file in small claims court, as I have the help of a lawyer friend. I now don't have to. I am a member of Durham Region Buyer Beware and I posted tons of our email conversations where Tim constantly and repeatedly flaked on showing up on dates he promised to install. My boyfriend even begged him to just give us the garage door, and we would pay what it was worth and install it ourselves, after he just would not return my $500.00. He would not, which also tells me that he did not even order my door. After people read the emails on Durham Region Buyer Beware, they couldn't believe it and called him out. He still tried to gaslight everyone saying this was my, the customers fault, because that is also his shctick. They were having none of it, as they can read. Tim was so shamed that he ended up returning my $500 and the admin of the group had to tell him to stop reporting my post to facebook because it is legitimate. Funny, another dissatisfied customer took to the group last night stating that his install had a broken window and after a year of trying to get that rectified he had to go to the manufacturer of the door, obtain a new window, drive the one hour baCK HOME and make the repair himself. Do your self a favour and do NOT use this company. He looks like he used to do good work, but now stonewalls and gaslights, trying to get people to just walk away from their downstroke. We took time off work unpaid, and cleaned the garage out for this guy on three occasions just to have to put everything back in. He does not care about your time or inconvenience. You have been warned again.
Do yourself a favour, and do not give this person your hard earned money. This money I put down was my birthday gift from someone.....nice present huh...to have it taken from you.

Edit: Tim has replied to this review claiming that he has no record of us as a client, so I have attached a photo of the receipt for our deposit. His reply to this review was the first time he's replied to us since July. I've also included text messages exchanges he had with my mother in June where he promises to transfer the money by a guaranteed date and after missing that date, completely ignores her repeated requests for the return of the deposit. Between these texts were a couple of phone calls where he again promises to have her money by a certain date and doesn't follow through. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Original review: My elderly mother put an $800 deposit down for the installation of a new garage door with this company in March 2021 with a guaranteed installation date of March 2022, and as of today (August 30 2022) the door has yet to be installed and the deposit has not been returned as requested. Tim is completely unreliable. We scheduled multiple appointments with for the installation of the door throughout the Spring of 2022 and he did not show up for any of them. Tim doesn't even have the courtesy to contact you in advance when he misses an appointment. I took time off work to drive from Toronto to my mother's home in Niagrara help oversee a scheduled installation of the garage door and he didn't show up or have the courtesy to let us know he wouldn't be there. Unacceptable. After multiple missed appointments I requested the return of the deposit in June 2022 which he assured me over the phone would be forthcoming within a week. After two weeks I sent a text and called multiple times to follow up on his promise but never heard back from him. His voicemail inbox is always full (I wonder why) so you can never leave him a voicemail. Having read all of the reviews of this company here and seen Tim's replies to them justifying his lack of professionalism I expect a similar response to this review. Whatever his justification, the countless negative reviews describing our exact same experience with him is proof enough to stay away from this company. After finishing this review I'm going to fill out the necessary paperwork to proceed to small claims court to try and get my 80 year old mother's deposit back.

This vendor is completely unreliable and full of untruths with respect to his promises to perform the work. I have given the vendor at least 5 opportunities to reschedule the work and they were unable to agree to any of them. My last request was a refund of my deposit and they have failed to respond to that request as well. DO NOT USE this company, as you will most likely find yourself in the same situation (after more than 8 months of waiting, there is no installation and there is no refund).

Be aware of Tim, he took $800 deposit ( we got invoice and E-transfer the deposit) from us back in Dec 2021 and until now did not install the garage door. Since April giving us excuses to postpone the installation date week by week. He is a big time layer!!! Dont trust this person.

Updated 5-Sep-2022: Tim responded with a text msg after the original review and provided a "firm" installation date of "week of August 15". Guess what? Since then no reply to my msgs. Highly considering the legal route this time!

I have no doubt on Tim`s workmanship based on the previous and recent positive comments from other lucky customers however I do have concerns about his trustworthiness and professionalism.

My order was placed 1 year ago (July 2021) and was told that due to supply chain issue, the door could take up to 12-15 weeks to be ready. I waited patiently until March 2022 (9 months later) but still no news from Tim.

When I first reached out to Tim, in March 2022, he apologized for no communication and gave an install date for 3 weeks later. I took that day off from work and no show from Tim. He provided some excuses and rescheduled the install in another 4 weeks. I called him 2 days before the install for confirmation and booked another day off since he confirmed. As many of you have experienced, it was another no show and another vacation day loss for me. I made myself clear to Tim that this is unacceptable and he immediately provided another install date which was only 2 weeks away. He even provided 2 dates for me to choose to which I responded "You pick the date that you can confirm to install the door and I will make myself available". He picked Saturday which was ok as I do not work on weekends. No surprise, I have not heard from him since then.

I made a deposit of $500 and have the receipt for it. I still need my garage door to be replaced and would prefer to have it done sooner. The color of the new door is a custom color and for that reason I would prefer to have it installed by Tim otherwise I would either get the door and find someone else to install or get a refund and go with another installer.

Tim we would like to thank you so much for our new garage doors. They look amazing! Thank you for your time installing and making our house look the best on the street. We have had many compliments already! With all that is going on right now with your family we wish you all the best and sending kind warm thoughts.
