We hired this contractor to renovate 2 bathrooms. One bathroom was an extensive renovation where we had to move walls to add a separate new shower and bathtub area.
We had to fire this contractor before the job was half finished for a few reasons.
First, he was a no-show several times. There was a whole week where he did not show up, call us or return phone calls and texts. The project was significantly behind schedule.
Secondly, he was careless with tools, equipment and materials. Eg. put a large whole in our ceiling when equipment was dropped; ordered drywall a month in advance of it being needed and it got wet when left outside and had to be replaced; etc. He presented a used shower glass door to us saying he had it made for us, but clearly it was not new.
Thirdly, rather than listen to what we wanted he preferred to argue with us. We gave him precise measurements and instructions on what we wanted, but often he wandered from them and we had to check what he was doing and correct them.
Fourthly and finally, the quality of the work was, at best, marginal. And in a few instances unsatisfactory.
In the end we had to let him go when the project was less than half complete and hire someone else to take over the project and finish it.
