I'd like to recount my recent experience with a contractor from this group. It's important to be cautious and avoid working with this individual. He presents himself as a contractor, but lacks the necessary experience and professionalism. Essentially, he's more of a handyman or helper attempting to pass as a contractor.
We were in a rush to start some partial renovations in my basement and couldn't find any available contractors to begin immediately. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of trusting this individual simply because he was available. However, as soon as he began the job, it became evident that he lacked the expertise required. I found myself having to instruct him on basic framing techniques, as he was using oversized studs to conserve materials.
Furthermore, when it came to installing drywall, his lack of skill became even more apparent. He attempted to do so in an unprofessional manner, leaving the job incomplete without any prior notice. Despite being paid in full, he neglected to complete the agreed-upon two coats of painting. He has since refused to refund any portion of the payment, making it difficult for us to hire someone else to finish the job properly.
Lacking any knowledge or experience in framing, drywall installation, mudding, Painting, he was completely out of his depth. Instead of properly finishing the gaps with caulking as agreed upon, his primary focus seemed to be solely on making money. Please refer to the attached images for visual evidence.
In light of this experience, I strongly advise others to exercise caution and steer clear of this individual.
