My 16 year 25 cubic ft French Door Kitchenaid Refrigerator stopped providing cold temperatures to both the freezer and fridge compartments. Luckily we have a backup fridge in the basement. After initial troubleshooting I isolated it to the compressor not working. I contact CAS Repair to get an honest assessment whether it was worth getting repaired or replaced. Edgar from CAS Repair showed me the scorch mark on the compressor which showed it had overheated. And after explaining to me that the cost of repair was not worth it as it usually does not involve just replacing the compressor and refrigerant it usually involves replacing other components as well.
