Save customers take action against this company

I had called them for Dryer service, the technician look at it for a while and said that the main board is down and parts wont be available mostly. I was asked to pay 248$ and got an advise to buy a new dryer. The call Customer service representative(in the call) is too rude to work as a customer service representative. The technician came to get 248$ for doing nothing. He never looked confident and once you call them you are locked and have to pay these incompetent company.
#####Please don't ever go with this company and please save your hard earned money#####

Bad Dishwasher Repair

Reviewed our leaking dishwasher and said it was in great shape. Did a clean up and tightened some lines and said it would fine. Tech verbally Indicated if any other parts wee needed would be no charge, but did not foresee an issue. We paid $320 for this service. Two days later machine still leaks. When we called the company they said what he did was only a "temporary fix" and new parts would be over $600 more to fix. Why would we spend $1000 on a bad repair. Had we been told this honestly, we would just buy a new machine. Company is dishonest and does not perform work to expectation.

Fridge repair

Quite poor jobs/poor services. The tech was not able to identify the compressor issue and installed the evaporator panel, which did not fix the issue at all. After installing the evaporator panel and finding it did not work, they suggested to replace the compressor, which could cost $2000+. Who would do that?? Poor knowledge techs (cannot identify the issue from the first, which I later found was actually very easy), and not thinking of customers at all (suggesting to pay $3k+ in total to fix a fridge! could easily buy a new one...). I should have checked HomeStars before ordering...

Washer/dryer repair

This appliance service follows a formula to mislead customers into agreeing to overpay for labour and parts. I agreed to pay 275$ for labour because the technician promised that the cost of the part would be included, but after I signed the invoice he said the cost of the part would be 400$ (a serious overcharge). I recommend filing a consumer protection complaint against the company with the Ontario Consumer Protection Agency.

The A Team Appliance Repair

Oven Service
I too wish i had researched this company better
The technician showed up in the time window provided but that was the end of the good news.
He told me it was $275 to "service" the 22 year old Wolf 30" gas stove.
Parts would be on top- I said fine.
My problem was that one of the four burners would not ignite and that the oven sometimes made a noise when heating up.
He proceeded to pull out the stove and take a look at the burners and electronics. I noticed he was constantly looking at his phone watching tutorials on my appliance- which worried me a bit
Upon removing the covers etc and moving round a few wires he told me that he knew what the problem was and would figure out the price.

He then told me the price for the repair was $3293.95!!!(taxes in)
i said no way - what was that for . He said for 4 new burners, and a bake ignitor.
When i said no he said i really only needed two new burners and if i chose that route the price would drop to $2363 including taxes.
I wanted to get the thing fixed and out of mind and said ok - signed the paperwork and gave a deposit of $1,336.51 (stupid me)
When he left and i did a little more investigation and realized that replacing the burners when i had an electrical problem was a misdiagnosis or over diagnosis at best.
He left my house at 7:30 pm
i decided to cancel at that time and phoned at 8:30 the next mornng to do so.

They said no problem and that accounting would get back to me on the refund.
Accounting called just after lunch and i called back and talked to a woman there.
She first tried to convince me to not cancel and then when i insisted she calculated my refund and told me that i would be getting approximately $575 dollars back (of my $1336!!) I asked why.
She said my contract notes that for parts ordered there is a 15%
restocking fee and a $30 delivery fee.
I said surely the parts were not ordered and in transit within the period between 730 Pm and 830 Am the next morning. She said they were.
I then noted that regardless of that her math was wrong. She then noted she was charging me 25% restocking fee. I said WHAT? She said that her supplier for this specific manufacturer charges 25% - Sorry.
i said i have a contract where it says in black and white 15%. She said too bad - its 25%. We argued and I said I would pay the 15%. I at this point just wanted to end the nightmare and take my lumps.
She said she would see what she could do. Came back on the line and offered 20% restock fee. I said no. She said thats it- if i didnt want the refund she would put a note on the file and when i was ready i could call back and make arrangements to get the money back.
I finally said just send me the money. Supposed to be in cheque form sent out in 2-3 weeks. We will see.
LESSON LEARNED
Remember they don't take credit cards - so you cannot challenge the charge even if you cancel
i am going to ask for a copy of a work order or purchase order - date stamped to prove they did order - but i really doubt that will result in anything.
DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE DISHONEST AT ALL LEVELS

Oven repair

Over charged. Do not return calls. Impossible to speak with parts department or management. Diagnostics false. Oven still broken. Wanted to charge us $2800 with 50% paid up front when part availability was not confirmed. Given no time line. Parts told required replacing were not listed on manufacturer parts list.

Worst Repair Ever

Our gas Maytag dryer wasn't heating. The A Team charged $744.95 upfront with $285 for labour and $374.25 for parts plus tax. I discovered that I could purchase the identical part which was installed for less than $60.00 including shipping and taxes.
While I've asked for an explanation of why such a difference I am not expecting to hear from them. This company is one which no one should deal with in my view.

Dishonest, Terrible Service

I paid this company to repair my washer. They said the drain pump needs replacing and would order a new one. After the technician left I pulled a coin out of the pump myself and the washer worked again. I called the company within 30 min of the visit and they agree to refund me for the part because it wasn't ordered yet. They still haven't paid me back after 1 month!!
There are many complaints about this company. They are running a very dishonest business!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY SERVICE!!

Over Repair

I wish I would have read reviews before I hired them. I had a gut feeling that the technician didnt really know what he was doing. The technician arrived our problem was something that was quite costly to fix-approximately $2500 and asked for a 50% deposit. He said the parts would arrive in a couple of days. When we were informed that the parts were back ordered we asked for our money back. They withheld over $300 as a re-stocking fee for a part that wasnt even in stock. I fought them for over a month and eventually gave up. When I called someone else to fix my
Oven all it required was a $60 part! I would never ever trust anyone at this company,
