quoted very high rates for 3 parts for Wolf oven and Liebehrr fridge. I was told parts should be receievd in 3-4 weeks. After 1 month I called. They said there was a problem because they didnt have the model#. How could the technician have given me a quote then? Then they asked me to find the model#. I said I couldn't move oven, they needed to send the technician, which they did.
The parts finally arrived and installed 3 months after first inspection of appliances. During this time I called for updates and was treated very rudely. They blamed "supply chain". They never followed up as requested.
Within 2 minutes of technicians departure after doing "repair" I noticed the timer/clock panel was stuck in open position. Usually it can be closed as well. I immediately called the office and they had the techs come back - under a few minutes. He casually said "oh yeah, when we do this repair it can break the spring on the panel door, it will cost you $1,500.00. He recommended that I should "live with it because the part is so expensive."
I was shocked and said "if you knew this why didnt you tell me this would happen?" Answer, "well ma'am, these things happen." And how did he so handily know the spring would cost $1,500?
I called office again and they pretended to be sympathetic and said maybe there would be a warranty. They put me on hold for a few minutes then came back to say because the technicians returned to check on broken panel, that was the warranty! To make matters worse, an hour later, the clock display went blank. It usually displayed constantly. I figured out if I press "clock" the time would display for a minute then go blank again. The technician said nothing of the clock function being affected, just the spring.
At this point I was furious and demanded that they fully replace the timer/clock panel free of charge. I do not thrust their technicians or policies. WHy say this happens during a repair process whitout warning a client they would incur extra expense? I believe the technician broke the spring in their handling of the oven door.
During one call to customer service one "nice" person suggested she could look into getting the part free of charge and she would get back to me. 2 weeks later I called to follow up. I got another person who said "ma'am we never have free parts'". They would not accept any responsibility in breaking the part or coming up with an appropriate solution.
What about honesty, reliability, professionalism? They don't care.
They will take advantage of you particularly if you are a woman.
Oh - when the technicians were doing the work on the oven they had to remove the door and cook top. They plunked them on top of my light coloured marble. I asked them to put something underneath the parts to protect the marble. they looked at me blankly, "oh ma'am we don't have anything". I ran to find a towel.
