Grand Landscaping & Interlocking

Grand Landscaping & Interlocking completed my project in the fall of 2022.They did excellent work and were very professional. The whole process was easy and they made it very straight forward. The completed project looks beautiful and my neighbors have complemented the workmanship. I've already scheduled them to do some work at my parents house in the spring!

Hamid and Vlad are perfectionists. They completed a beautiful interlocking stone backyard patio and area surrounding our pool. In addition, they did a coordinating walkway to the backyard pool area. Both gentlemen are always open to suggestions and so easy to work with. Their work is extremely professional. I rarely write reviews unless the work done is either outstanding and deserves a good review or it's lousy and needs to be criticized. The work that Hamid and Vlad did for us totally deserves a good review, so here we go...

We called Grand Landscaping and Interlocking to give us a quote for the repair/replacement of our concrete staircase which had settled and separated from porch. Hamid came to give us a quote in February 2022. He showed up on time and thoroughly reviewed the issue. We decided that we replace the stairs with precast concrete steps and cover the landing with natural stone and parge the two sides of the porch which were deteriorated brick veneer.

We also asked Hamid to give us a quote for the removal of existing sidewalk (patio slabs in the front and side of the house) and replacing with concrete paving. We had a long standing drainage issue in front of the house due to settlement of patio slabs in time, which had become a slipping hazard with water freezing during winter. Hamid recommended to interlock the sidewalk with the same price as concrete paving which we accepted.

The work was originally scheduled for the first week of May but Hamid called to let us know that they have had a cancellation and could start the work earlier, in April, which worked fine for us. Once work started, team of Hamid, Vlad and their assistants showed up every day first thing in the morning. They didn't waste any time or left us hanging by doing more than one job at a time, which some contractors do.

We added more to the scope of work (e.g. expanding interlock area, additional steps, garden edge, riverstone, and sodding the front lawn) after work had started and Hamid was very accommodating in terms of pricing for the extra work without sacrificing the quality.

I'm a landscape architect and manage many landscape design and contract administration projects throughout the year so I am very familiar with the landacape construction methods, materials and details. I must say that these guys know their job very well but at the same time they were very accommodating to the way I wanted the work to be done. I pay a lot of attention to details and Hamid and Vlad made sure I am satisfied with every aspect of the work by discussing how they would go about completing each step of the work and modifying the work if it wasn't done to my satisfaction.

It was a pleasure working with Hamid and Vlad and I will definitely use them again in my future projects. I have no hesitation to recommend them to my friends or anyone who is looking for a good landscape contractor who provides high quality work at a very competitive price.

Our requirement called for the removal of all traces of grass from our backyard and replacement with an interlocking stone walkway snarling between a new large flower bed on one side and the edge of a river-stone bed on the other side. We also required re-sodding of a large area in the back of the yard for additional flower beds and new bushes. When we hired Great Landscaping & Interlocking, we only had a general idea of what the renovated backyard should look like. Hamid and Vladimir were quick to suggest slight changes in our design of the walkway and flower bed layouts to enhance the charm of the finished place. They also suggested the use of some armor stones to delineate selected areas in the re-sodded areas. These suggestions greatly enhanced the charm of the backyard. We were also pleasantly surprised by their openness to introducing slight changes on the go at our request. Hamid, Vladimir and their two assistants were flexible and easy to work with. They completed the backyard renovation in time with exceptional care to clear and clean up old sod, discarded vegetation and residual gravel. Their price was highly competitive. The finish of the entire backyard was outstanding. We are unequivocal in recommending Great Landscaping for their high work ethics and outstanding professionalism, and for the outstanding quality and high reliability of their work.

We are very happy with the work done by Grand Landscaping for our legal front yard parking pad and associated front yard landscaping.

We were working with a design from a landscape designer that was way over our initial budget. They were willing to work with us to bring costs down by changing materials and layout while maintaining critical components and reducing the amount of material needed (smaller walls, one less stone step, less excavation, cutting out all soft landscaping, etc.)
They were easy to reach by phone, and provided us with a quote very quickly.

During construction they were willing to make changes to arrive at a better end product as issues arose, such as a gas line being in the way of the initial design.

Most of all, what we appreciated was that they were willing to take their time to get things exactly as they wanted. There was no rush to get to the next job despite the quote being significantly lower than other reputable landscapers. They took the time it took to place every stone exactly where it was meant to be.

Vlad and his team did an amazing job on our backyard! This is our second time working with them - they did a pathway and a retaining wall at the front of our house last year, and there was no question we would use them again for the backyard.

They installed a new pathway, fixed a patio we had installed ourselves (incorrectly), and regraded the whole yard. They showed up when they said they would, and finished the job in the amount of time committed to. Additionally, we felt that they were reasonably priced for the job. Have recommended them to both neighbours and family!

Very happy with the service provided by Grand Landscaping & Interlocking. The guys are all very nice and do they job very carefully.
They were also able to adapt to last minute changes without raising the cost: very appreciable.
