Disappointing Service and Poor Communication
I had a very disappointing experience with Mr. Exterminator. We initially contacted them to address a wasp issue in our soffit that could be heard inside the house. My son was quoted $250 for the service while we were out of the country. They sprayed the exterior, but the problem wasnt resolved. Upon our return, we contacted them for a follow-up, only to be told that there was a 10-day guarantee we were never informed about, and we would need to pay again for additional service.
Even worse, this 10-day guarantee was not disclosed on their quote, invoice, or website, which left us feeling misled. When we called to complain, they offered an inspection of the inside but warned that any work going into the wall would cost extra. This felt like an attempt to upsell without properly addressing the original problem.
In frustration, we contacted Orkin for a second opinion. They also charged $250 but provided far superior service, including a follow-up spray at no additional cost and a courtesy check, all covered under their 30-day guarantee. It was clear they cared about resolving the issue completely.
Despite reaching out to Mr. Exterminator to ask for a resolution or credit due to the incomplete service, we received no response. Their lack of communication and failure to stand by their work has left us highly dissatisfied.
I would not recommend Mr. Exterminator based on this experience. Their competitor, Orkin, provided far better customer service, a more effective solution, and greater value.
