I experienced the same pattern of behaviour as the other reviews. The worst part is the Better Business Bureau has been contacted years ago about them and they could have stopped all this a long time ago and didnt. Just more victims. These cons have been swindling from people for a long time. Def needs further investigation

My Samsung washer stopped turning on. I called this company because we called this company for microwave repair. Which was great. Apparently not that company. The technician from this company came the same day and said the problem is with the draining system. $290 repair. Did something then turn it on and said that its display panel problem and needs to be replaced. Cost $450. We agreed.
Than after a week the board allegedly arrived and said that the panel blew out right on the turning on. He said he does not recommend future repairs and said to call the company for refund. I did and the woman
there offered 30% discount on the cost of the part, that their policy does
not provide for refund and then after 15 min conversation she hang up
on me.

The Appliance Repair team gave me an initial quote for $80 to do a service call. Upon arrival, the technician informed me that to properly diagnose the problem, he would have to open the machine at a cost of $295. I gullibly agreed and signed his form, not realizing at that that this is not a standard charge for repair companies. This is unique to this company.

After diagnoses, he informed me that a part would need to be ordered for $417. He confirmed that after this my machine would be in working order as it is a Blomberg machine. I reluctantly agreed. On August 6, 2024 I paid $482. I looked up the part and saw that it was under $100. He said that the websites were incorrect and that I would never get the part on time to get this repair completed.

On August 20, 2024 the technician came to put in the part. After which he took the final payment of $322.56. He forcibly had me sign a document that said that it was standard protocol that the machine was in working order.
After he left I turned on the dryer and the dryer still does not heat up and clothes do not dry. I've kept the part that he replaced and the part that he removed from my machine was not damaged. He actually put a wrench through it to damage it. The marks of the wrench are on the part.

On August 21st the technician came back and said that I needed to pay more for another part and more repairs and was forcing me to sign a document. I asked him to leave my house. He would not leave and then I told him that I would call the police. He left.

STAY AWAY FROM THE APPLIANCE REPAIR TEAM!

The man came to my home and told me I would have parts and repaired by the following week. 1 week later I hadnt heard from anyone so I called to find out what was going on and was told there was a delay in parts delivery and most likely the end of the following week . No service and outrageous costs. I am a senior and cant afford these terrible rates Move on- dont call these people as only $274.00 will be mailed to me. $400. For no work done I guess thats what they wanted all along.

I add my voice to calling out this company as disreputable and my regret that I did not check reviews on HomeStars before starting down the path of one repair after another on our Fisher & Paykel washer. Our saga started on Nov 21 2023. Our machine was old, and the cycles had started stalling after a house electrical upgrade. I wanted to get our usual appliance repair person in to check whether it was worth a fix or we should buy a new one. He reported that FP had only one authorized dealer in Toronto (Appliance Repair Team). By January 1, 2024, we had paid $1,228.31 in fixes, which is when I stopped the process, and refused to pay the last half-pending balance of $220.18. The washing machine was in the same non-functioning condition as it had after each of the previous three previous part-fix visits. The receptionist who is the only person you can speak with told me that she could not negotiate any adjustment and that my balance would be sent to a collection agency and my credit rating ruined. She also advised me that they could install another part to fix the problem at a cost of $648. This is not a problem with receptionists or technicians. This is a bad company and one that no reputable brand, such as Fisher & Paykel, should be authorizing for repairs.

Long story short - (1) I was told by their representative, that THIS COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE ANY PROCESS to escalate the complaint if the customer is not satisfied with the service.

(2) They charged me $260 extra for servicing washer which was not necessary - since the complaint was for replacing Gasket which was the issue reported to them in the first place - Total paid to them $850

(3) They repaired the Gasket initially, but charged me for the New one. We had to argue with them, and to convince them that it is not new.

(4) When fixing the washer, their technician uninstalled the Dryer, but did not install it back again correctly. (I have reason to believe that was deliberate). When I request them to install the Dryer correctly, this company refuses to help take care of it.

AND TO TOP IT OFF, WHEN I ASK FOR THE ESCALATION PROCESS, GOT TO KNOW THAT THERE IS NONE.

The door to my front load dryer cracked. Called this company to have the dryer door replaced. The technician arrived at the scheduled time. He took down the make & model of my dryer, called their office and provided me a quote. Quoted price is $240 for labour and $586 for parts. They require 50% deposit totalling $466 which I paid as requested. After a month of following up, they told me the parts has been discontinued hence they will provide a refund of $139. They claim the technician did some service as noted in his report by doing some adjustment. I was with the technician the entire time when he arrived. The only thing he did is took down the make & model of my dryer and called their office. He cannot do any service since the issue is a cracked door, with no part, what adjustment will he do. The customer service insisted work had been done so they charge the labour fee. The refund constitute the portion of the part I paid. Stay away from this company, go somewhere else.

Called to fix a refrigerator that was not cooling. Technician arrived and cited a $600 part needed replacing. After replacing that part the issue persisted. Technician arrived again and cited a $1200 part that needs replacing. The issue persisted after that. I called a third time and supposedly the technician had noted on my account that I may need a third part.

After complaining to the company that I feel none of the fixes are solving the problem the company told me that this is just how Technical problems are solved and that Id need to buy the third part to solve the issue.

Save your money, go somewhere else.

Shame on me for being duped twice. First time, dryer required new drum...ordered in Feb '24, wrong part sent end of March and was reordered. I had to continually follow up to get an eta and finally, service was set for today. No one showed. I called 45 minutes after the service window to learn that the part is no longer available and they would refund me the price I paid for the part, less a $200 restocking and delivery fee! Cannot believe it! A restocking fee for a part that is no longer available!

In the meantime, I needed my dishwasher repaired urgently. A valve was replaced, service was quick and efficient. Spoke to KitchenAid to have it covered by warranty only to find that I was charged $195 for a $75 part and $290 for labor when KA service caps at $125.

Difficult lesson to learn. Bottom line, stay away from this outfit!

worst ever - great website which says they take cards but this creepy guy shows up and demands cash before he even looks at anything - says the credit card machine is down - says it needs parts and demands more cash before he can order the parts - doesn't call back so i call them after 10 days and they say - he's on his way - we just got the parts - no change in the operation of my LG washer/dryer - cost 2k cash - vile people -
