Completed the Job in Just 4 Days!

I am absolutely thrilled with the exceptional service provided by Northcon for my below-grade entrance and egress window installation as part of my basement finishing project. Led by Ahmed, the team was not only organized, timely, and professional but also remarkably reliable. Ahmed's excellent communication skills kept me well-informed with daily updates, and the team demonstrated flexibility and openness to alternatives throughout the project. They provided everything needed for a complete entrance, from cutting and concrete work to installing the door, window, railing, sump pump and even the light fixture. It's impressive that the majority of the job was completed in just four days. I highly recommend their services for anyone seeking efficiency, quality, and a positive project experience.

Basement Entrance

We hired Northcon Corp to build a below grade entrance in our backyard. The owner of the company, and his staff were very professional and knowledgable. They worked on getting the drawings ready for submission, and performed the construction work once the permit was issued. We had a very good experience with them and highly recommend their services. Ahmed is very honest and provided good advice to us about the best way to do go about the project. He uses high quality tools, equipment, and provides an excellent service. He has a deep knowledge about construction and vast experience in the field. We really liked to work with him and his company and would highly recommend him to other homeowners!

Thank you for the amazing work!

Northcon Corp owner, Ahmed, built a new basement entrance on the side of my house a few weeks ago, and the final work exceeded all expectations. During the construction work, he and his crew were careful with the details, the levels, the workmanship, and most importantly they tried their best to minimize disturbance during the project. It was really the best possible experience for myself. My neighbour was also very happy with the way the project was handled. My wife and I were really impressed with Ahmed's professionalism and already referred him to our family friend who also wants to build an entrance for their basement. He used proper tools to carry out the job and was meticulous on every detail. He is definitely my #1 recommendation for basement entrances. It's spectacular the knowledge and experience he has of every aspect of his work. Thank you Ahmed and Northcon Corp!

Below grade entrance

Northcon was initially a pleasure to deal with. Seemed professional and knowledgable, BIG MISTAKE in hiring them.
The people doing the work are careless and don't seem to care about doing the job properly. NOT tradesmen, NOT skilled, NOT qualified . I've been framing homes for 25 years, these guys should not be building anything until they get some proper training.
The old basement window that was removed was buried under the styrofoam. The weeper was damaged during digging and they just covered it up. The forming was built using 2x3 studs, not strong enough
to prevent the concrete wall from forming a belly. Rebar was undersized and drilled into the existing foundation using PL to anchor it. I had to remove it myself and reinstall it using the proper chemical adhesive for concrete. The tie wire for the rebar was simply twisted by hand, I had to give them a pair of pliers and show them how to twist it tight. The concrete finish was acceptable only because i watched them like a hawk.
A boulder that was pulled out of the ground during excavation was left on the property. After repeated texts and phone calls and assurances that it would be taken away, even when I told them I had landscapers scheduled to come, it wasn't removed. I had to take care of it my self.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Outdoor Renovation (Side Entrance)

Warning about Northcon Corp, unlicensed and dangerous work. Would not provide Ontario GST number once requested.

I contacted Northcon Corp last year when I needed an exterior entrance put in at the front of my house. The work they did was ok for the most part although at times the guys didn’t seem like they knew what to do next.

As an option there was a rough in and installation of an outdoor light fixture offered for $250 which I decided to get. Throughout the process the owner assured me things are “being done to code”. Fast forward to 7 months later when I have an electrician come do some work and wire up their light fixture.

As it turns out the guys knew absolutely nothing about electrical work and connected the wires using electrical tape and not wire nuts. Of course all electricians know this is not an approved way of wiring cables together and would not pass code.

When I contacted The owner initially he seemed like he would help and offer a refund but kept insisting this was a proper way of doing it. When I explained to him I knew a bit about electrical work his attitude changed right away. He told me it was my responsibility to check the guys work to ensure it was done right. Imagine the audacity, I hire this guy for a job and he tells me I’m supposed to inspect the work.

Avoid this company if you can, they do not stand by their work. I’m out $250 but at least I learned a lesson in making sure to hire a licensed contractor next time.
