Consider your Options very carefully
We purchased five kitchen appliances from CAS Mississauga paying in full June 2022. At that time, delivery of the Bosch dishwasher was unknown but our salesperson assured us she would take care of us. Our original schedule was for August; we had to fire our GC (that is another story/review) and ultimately pushed delivery to first week of December. In late September, the CAS 'system' notified me that the dishwashers were in. I reached out by email to our salesperson to see if everything was on track for first week of December. She did not respond.
By November, I received another notice saying the dishwasher was on back order to February 2023. We went in to see the sales person and at that point we learned what we should have known before but were not told previously:
1. 9 days. They only guarantee delivery of stock if they have the item 9 days max from when you buy it and when they have it on hand. So, we should have taken delivery of the dishwasher in September. NB: I had asked our salesperson about this and she did not respond. She now claims she has 'screen shots' of emails from me saying I did not want to do that. I do not believe her and cannot find any such correspondence (she has not provided it either).
2. Pay extra delivery charges to get your appliances when or before you need them. We now face the likelihood of having no dishwasher for a year or more.
3. The only promise CAS makes on their website with respect to Customer Service is "Our dedicated staff of knowledgeable, friendly sales professionals will treat you like one of the family". Tells you what kind of family relations, right?
4. Dishwasher substitution- they offered us a 'better' model for 'lowest price'- regular price $2249 they offered it to us for $1899. We went home and researched to find it was not a better model, and happened to be on sale at CAS already for $1949. So their offer of restitution for the difficulty this has caused us is all of $50. Wow.
5. Our invoice alternately included Shipping & Delivery charges, and then did not. We paid the same amount of money so not sure why these keep coming and going. No one will explain what that is supposed to cover.
6. The 'system' where you book delivery does not let you set a date. Not sure why. These people kept calling me right after I entered the date in the system. They also asked whether this was a New Home or Renovation. Why should that matter?
Bottom line- CAS has 412 complaints on the Better Business Bureau in the last 3 years, We have no choice but to finish off our deal since we literally have no kitchen. Once they get your money, you will be up the creek.
UPDATE NOV 23, 2022- I think our salesperson has taken our comments to heart. She has upped her game and is managing our order significantly more than before. Our delivery for 5 items is set for Saturday and we will see how that goes but things are definitely better. My suggestion holds though- make sure you tell your sales person your expectations for them in managing delivery and understand the 9 days thing- it will save you both a lot of difficulty.
