I had First Try Heating install an HRV system to legalize 2 basement suites. They were very accommodating to my specific requests, and was willing to make changes I requested as the work was being done. They were very good at ensuring my project was as cost efficient as possible, and dealt with the inspectors for me as well. Thanks for all the good work!

Hot water stopped flowing and the fan on the hot water tank made erratic noises. Minutes after submitting a service request through HomeStars I received a call from Mac and was able to schedule an appointment a few hours after. He immediately diagnosed the issue as a fresh air intake blockage. Sure enough after checking the outside pipes we found that it was frosted which restricted the airflow to the hot water tank. After clearing the blockage he suggested minor modifications to the piping to prevent future frosting. Mac was professional, knowledgeable and expedient.

We had air conditioning installed July of 2018 and at the beginning of the next summer season we had issues with the air conditioning unit not working. Josh and team were quick to respond and troubleshoot the issue getting our unit back up and running. Great customer service!

replace dryer venting all the way to the outside wall. Mac demoed the existing vent and found some issues with the old vent pipes. Decision was made to replace all and Mac stayed to finish the work. He exceeded our expectations and gave us some piece of mind with the new product.

My furnace started to leak and I have contacted several companies to get a quote for service. All the other companies that I have contacted wanted to send the tech out first and charge the diagnostic fee. When I contacted the First Try Heating and explained to them that I have diagnosed the problem and sent pictures for the unit, not only they waived the diagnostic fee, they gave a reasonable service quote to fix the problem. I will call them again for future services.

My husband and I came back from vacation to a flooded basement. I called my best friend for a referral as they just had their tank replaced. First Try Heating showed up on time and worked in a quick and efficient manner. They even mopped up the water and set up fans for me I had in storage. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone!

They installed a 95.5% 40,000 BTU high efficiency furnace down flow in an extremely small mechanical space utilizing the space wisely. Very neat and clean venting, gas, sheet metal work. They also put in an acid neutralizerer so it wouldn't ruin our septic tank-which was very thoughtful.

Mac and Josh were super professional. They showed up right on time and completed the job in the expected time frame. They even corrected a venting issue that the original home building missed. Once the job was complete they cleaned up the work area and even cleared the snow from my driveway. Will definitely use them again in the future.
