Horrible contractor who cant handle bigger jobs. Always had excuses and did some unsafe and unprofessional work. Avoid him. He should be a greeter at Walmart, not a general contractor.

I hired a number of different specialist contractors helping me to update an older home. I hired Eduardo to complete a list of tasks, including building a pony wall; Installing nine ceiling lights, two fan, two smoke/C02 detectors, installing new baseboards, and other basic update tasks.

I kick-started his work by paying him the first half of the total quote in early June, $2500 -- there were materials involved. And advanced him another $1000 at months end in June. He was largely a no-show in July and ultimately only partially installed a pony wall (90% done), framed and drywalled a small fireplace surround, installed two ceiling lights and partially installed a ceiling fan. Most of the installs were not completed.

Based on his quote I would generously say I received about $1500 in value (labour and materials) for this job.

This is the first time I have given anyone a negative review on HomeStars: because it is the first time I have felt ripped-off by a service provider. I felt I was generous in fronting the payment for the work. It never occurred to me it wouldn't get done! I am so disappointed.

He's a nice enough guy but being a senior on a budget, who tried to be generous and fair I felt I deserved better treatment.

Probably a good choice for one-off, on-specific-day jobs. But definitely not someone who needs to self-manage a range of tasks as part of a project team, over a multi-month time horizon. Happily my brother jumped in to save the day on electrical installs and I can finish the pony wall on my own. Well do the baseboards ourselves.

Now off to small claims court to recover some of my investment (so I can give it to my brother).

Ed had to install hinges on 8 Interior Doors he also had to shave off part of the doors to fit the old frames,he did a great job and very honest person.I am about call him to do some more work in our home

more than 5 stars I would. Ed was awesome. Our doors look awesome . Honesty is important. We will definitely be calling him again

Ed and his crew has been very diligent in completing our basement. They are honest, thus a trust worthy company! Ed thoroughly understood our needs and requirements and did an excellent work in finishing the job to our satisfaction. He kept us posted throughout the process, step by step and cleaned the premises as well. Please always remember that any construction work is time consuming and unexpected things on the way can delay the process but this doesn't mean that this company will leave you stranded or leave you half-way.

EVM quoted professionally and completed all the work on time and on budget. It was wonderful working with Edgardo and his team as we added in a few extra fixes and he graciously obliged with timely repairs and courteous service. Even though our 1812 home comes with crooked door frames Edgardo spent extra time fitting and finishing door installations better than any other contractor in previous years. I would highly recommend this company

They were efficient, prompt, and cleaned up each day. Work took 4 days. I am very satisfied with the work, it’s almost like new.

Ed did not finish the job he was hired to do and paid for in full in advance. He disappeared on the job leaving me stranded.

I am very grateful to EVM Builder for making my dream basement at such an affordable price in a reasonable amount of time. I am very impressed with the way they work with me to keep within my desired budget while ensuring that they do not sacrifice quality. I truly enjoyed their company too! Thank you EVM Builder. Horrible!!! Not trust worthy. Will not recommended. Gave $500 deposit did half fast job never seen him again. Used tape to install skylight. If you can't do the job don't accept the job!!!
