My dryer wouldn't start. I made an appointment yesterday. John knew awhat was wrong. Being that I drton't shop online John ordered the part which turned out to be the know to start the dryer. He was extremely nice and I wouldn't hesitate to do a repeat service call when needed. I highly recommend this company. Thank you John.

The owner, Elaine, is rude and abrupt. Go elsewhere. The staff and technicians are great. If you can handle her unneeded approachgood luck. She is mean and rude.

Used this company many times for repairs but never again. They were unable to get a part and install it so I got it done through another company. Charge to my credit card was on April 25 2022. Emailed to them to cancel part and install on May 2 2022. Here is the email...

I was speaking with Alexandra at your office. As you can see from the invoice you were at our home recently and diagnosed a problem with a particular part of our washer. This part is sold out in Canada and won't be available for some time. I left a voicemail message for you last week but there has been no returned call. As a result, I found another source for the part and installed it myself. Can you please refund me the amount of the invoice minus the initial service call. Please acknowledge the receipt of the email and the refund ASAP.

Repeated phone calls to credit my Visa but there has been no credit processed. Contacting the manager by pressing 1 on the phone is a joke, because no one returns the calls. Had to dispute the charge through Visa. WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN !

They came charged for the call to diagnose. Te tech was here for all of 15 to 20 minutes and charged me $111.87. They said if they do the work they would deduct that from the cost of installing a new compressor. As it was under warranty I secured the compressor and was to call them when it came in to arrange for insall. After at least 8 calls and 2 emails i've yet to get a call back. The last call i received they are now saying they don't have anyone to do the work in this area. Bottom line is they should not have arranged the servive if they can not do the work. They advertise they can fix anything and pride themselves on service and in fact it's parrt of the message you hear when calling them. Obviously false advertisment. I'll be contacting the various goverment agencies to report them

Sam, the technician, was one of the most thorough and professional people I have ever let into my house. He was polite and respectful while going above and beyond the call of duty in diagnosing the issue that had kept my refrigerator without power.
He came back another day with the missing part (after having searched high and low to purchase it over the weekend), and finished the work as he had promised.
It is employees like Sam that make or break the reputation of a company.

A technician from Appliance Repair Expert was hired to do a diagnosis on a dishwasher that stopped working. The technician identified the issue to be caused by a faulty circulation pump. I was charged the diagnosis fee of $100, which would be credited back if they were hired for the repair. He stated that it would need to be ordered and would take 3-4 days. It took over 7 phone calls, numerous texts and over 3 weeks to get them to finally order the part and complete the repair. Following the repair, there was minimal verification, but I was told that it was all done and I was charged the balance of about $500.

The issue however was not fixed, nothing improved. For the next 3-4 weeks, I attempted to contact a manager or my technician to come and take a look under their warranty. When the technician finally came, he stated that the circulation pump probably wasn't the issue. He said he didn't know what the issue was and eventually left. For the next 2-3 weeks I attempted over and over to connect with management but was continuously brushed aside and never received a response. I've filed a complaint with the Ontario Consumer Protection and awaiting next steps.

This is perhaps the most unprofessional business I've ever worked with. The technicians lack professionalism and skill and the management I assume is worse but I haven't yet spoken to them despite numerous attempts to do so.

DO NOT hire these folks. There are hundreds of other companies that will act with more integrity than Appliance Repair Expert. I will be passing this review on to my entire network of friends and colleague.

The technician did the diagnosis very quick and suggested the solution. He was very professional in his approach.

Very disappointed in service and response time. The problem was already known to me. In end they said they could not fix it. My wife and I fixed it ourselves. Whose the expert? I paid $89.00 for nothing .. I seriously think I should get a refund

Do not trust these guys! They came to repair my dryers and it broke 2 more times after that for the same issue. There is no way to talk to a manager and they do not respond to email about issue! They outsource the work to random independent contractors so you can't reach the technician either about a bad job.
I have been waiting for weeks for them to come back and fix it again. No call back, no email!

Do not use this company. I am a single mother. I PAID THEM $350 CASH TO FIX MY FRIDGE. THEY DID NOT diagnose anything. He came looked at the fridge, he said he change something but he was done in 15mins. I asked, how do you know that was the problem, he just shrug his shoulders and said because I know. Told me not to use fridge for 48hrs. Fridge still broken he came back and said you need new fridge. Spoke to Alexandra, she hangs up and now I think they blocked me. April 28 822am. Pictures of Alexandra hanging up on me. Also pictures 2 1/2 weeks after repair. I'm sorry but I need to keep updating my review. So everyone knows NOT TO USE. I am just asking for a refund or get a professional to please fix the PROBLEM. THIS IS NOW THE THIRD set of groceries that went spoiled. Daughter needs to stay at my friends house so we can keep milk cold. I unfortunately work from home and need to stay home. This is the first Bad review I have ever wrote. If you see my other review I always write good reviews. I like to acknowledge customers service a d quality of each company. If it's not my preference. I KEEP SILENCE. But this is now affecting my daughter. We did not noticed fridge was not working, gave my daughter spoiled milk. Please please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Family to another family
