Last November (2021), Sam and his crew removed the old soffits, fascia, and eavestroughs and installed new soffits, fascia, eavestroughs, and leaf guards. We've encountered several issues along the way, some of which were never resolved to this day (December 7, 2022).
Initially, Sam's crew installed what looked like scrap/leftover leaf guards. While gutters, soffits, and fascia were black, the newly installed leaf guards came in beige, white, grey, and red colors. Some were for 5" gutters (ours were 6"), so the installation looked terrible. There were some sections that had no leaf guards at all, apparently, they ran out of scraps. I am happy that I checked from above, otherwise, I'd never know. It took quite an effort for us to convince Sam to redo it while he tried to persuade me that nobody could see them from the ground, so it was OK in his opinion. He then offered grey leaf guards that he would spray paint black, which I, naturally, refused.
When installing leaf guards, one of the workers dented the new soffit with a ladder. That hasn't been fixed yet.
I also discovered several leaks within a week after job completion, as soon as it rained. It's been over a year, and the defects still are not fixed; Sam kept telling me he was busy, that he'd come fix the leaks in a week, in a month, then stopped responding to my calls, texts or voice mail messages altogether.
To even talk to Sam, I had to call from a different phone as after every time Id talk to him, he'd block that phone number. I've used up all of our numbers. This is beyond ridiculous, and extremely unprofessional, and upsetting as I paid a very large sum of money for the job as was agreed, and I was promised a 10-year warranty, which I can't get.
During my last interaction with Sam about 2 months ago, he said he'd come fix the leaks, replace the dented soffit, and finish the work on the bay window, which he promised he would do once the new bay window is installed (been installed for half a year). He promised that the work would be done during the 2nd or 3rd week of November 2022, but he, again, never showed up or communicated to me an alternative date. I called, left a message asking for an update, but I've yet to hear from him.
I foolishly paid for the whole job, including the future bay window work, thinking Sam would hold his end of the deal, but he did not, I am now stuck with the leaks and an unfinished job that I need to find someone else to come and finish for me.
Needless to say, I am very, very upset. I paid thousands of dollars but got a shoddy job with no warranty and no way to communicate with the owner Sam. This is not the way to do business/treat customers. Not happy and can't recommend this company.
