Standard Home Hardwood Flooring

I had Jozsef refinish, stain, and varnish the floors, stairs, and landing of a two-storey home. He was very knowledgeable about his trade and estimated time to complete the work. He completed the job over 4 visits. He was very accommodating to rescheduling one of the visits that I requested with not much notice to allow the electrician to do some crucial work. He even refinished the banister for free. The end result was a beautifully finished floor. I highly recommend Jozsef he is very personable easy to communicate with and takes great pride in the quality of his work.

I want to change my hardwood floor but Jozsef give me option of resurfacing it at 1/3 of the cost. It looked like the impossible task to bring the floors back but Jozsef did an incredible job. The floors look amazing. Jozsef was professional and his workmanship is topnotch. I definitely recommend this company. You will not be disappointed.

Selected this company after meeting a few others, they were mid range in price but were able to start immediately which was important for us. The job started well he was there every day until the job was complete which was done in the time specified during the quote.

Upon 'completion' we pointed out that there was stain and damage from the sander in various areas of the house including high up on doors and walls. There was also around 100 small bumps in the floor that looked to be caused by sand that clumped together with the stain.
Upon asking to have these things fixed they sent out a sub contractor who removed the bumps with his fingernails which obviously left the floors not perfectly smooth.
At this point the tape was also removed which revealed all of the baseboards had been damaged and needed to be repainted. When this was brought up the response was 'everyone knows your baseboards will get damaged, that is the best that could be done.' The approximate cost to have the baseboards sanded (because the paint will not adhere to the stain) and re-painted was almost half the cost of refinishing the floors in the first place. The photos attached show some of the damage.
We also asked to have the 2 75 Lb bags of garbage removed at the end of the job to which the response was 'we never stated we remove our garbage that will cost hundreds of dollars.' No such thing was ever stated or claimed. The city will not remove garbage of this size and we still are unsure of how to dispose of them.

This is all of course after having been paid in full. I'm sure there are worse stories out there but would not use this company again or recommend the to anyone.

I am very pleased with the work. Honest, reliable and knowledgeable. He answered my questions every step of the way. He was never late and most importantly the floors look great. Exactly what I asked for.

In the last 15 years I am completely satisfied with the job they have done. The outcome makes it look very professional, always done on time without leaving a mess. It's always good to keep these people around and guaranteed a job well done.
