Although we do pride ourselves on making it look good, insulation unlike many of the other trades that may be more "aesthetically" based, really boils down to functionality and actually has to perform what it was installed to do, which is keep heat in or out, glad to hear that you are feeling the immediate effects as temperatures are beginning to plummet, hopefully you will really notice the difference this winter!!!

Thank you so much for sharing, especially since in today's crowded market, we find that many insulation companies have been advising clients their attic only requires a top-up to the existing insulation simply to obtain more work. Although this option may appeal to a tighter budget, it is not in the homeowners best interest, especially in circumstances such as yours, where no vapour barrier was present and the current insulation was outdated and not performing as it should, if at all. Situations like these call for a full remediation (insulation removal & 2lb closed cell SPF/blown-in loosefill insulation hybrid), although much more expensive than a basic top-up, it is the only real option and ultimately ends up paying for itself in the long run with the savings on your energy bills. You made a wise decision to do so, and we do appreciate you choosing us to perform the proposed scope of work, as well as your patience with the various delays that tend to arise in a complicated and difficult attic remediation such as yours. All the best and we hope your new insulation has kept you and your family cooler this summer and will keep you warmer this upcoming winter!!!
