South Peak Roofing were very quick and thorough responding to our leaking roof this past spring. We subsequently had them install a new roof. Ken was very helpful in choosing the correct products and is very knowledgeable. Installation started on time and was efficient. The crew was courteous and professional. 10/10 would hire again!!

I left the approximate cost empty as I don't believe its appropriate for a rating service like this. Suffice to say the full siding and asphalt roof replacement was very competitive with other contractors.

Prior to signing the contract we never felt rushed or pushed into signing. Rich was very accommodating and he spent the time to answer all of our questions. We were provided with samples of both roofing and siding materials to review at our leisure and Rich made it very clear what the options were and the differences between each option.

Once we signed the contract, Ken contacted us a couple of days later and work started.

Siding was first and the crew was great. They did a great job but more importantly they engaged us on several aspects of the job as to our preference on how to proceed. They went out of their way to correct a couple of things that were not in scope and in one case, they made a cross town trip to replace an exterior light mounting panel. Every day, the entire yard was cleaned up and organized.

The roof followed, and obviously as they are up top, our interaction with the roofers was less. I could see the attention to detail as new extra venting was supplied on one side where we were having the most problems with degradation. Every day, the yard was cleaned up and organized.

Once each job was finished the dumpster bins were removed immediately.

Both crews were very polite and respectful. You could see that they took pride in their work.

I will be recommending South Peak to anyone I come across that needs this type of work.

We recently decided our roof needed replacing so when I saw someone walking around on the roof of a house down the street from my house I waited to talk to him when he came down. His name is Ken Reid, a partner in South Peak Roofing. His replies to my questions were informative and to the point. At my request he agreed to provide an estimate for replacing our roof; it arrived in my email several days later and outlined three options for our consideration. Subsequently we met with Ken in our kitchen to discuss the options and to get other questions answered. We decided to go with South Peak and several weeks later Ken phoned to arrange a convenient time to do the work.
We were impressed with the way his crew operated! The work site was kept clean and neat at all times and there was no inconvenience to us. Clean-up after the first day was impressive; clean-up after the second and final day was meticulous! The crew kept us informed regarding their work-plan and their progress, and they did it all with big smiles.

I did some pretty extensive research on roofing companies and was extremely satisfied with South Peak. Ken (owner) took the time to educate us on roofing options and provided quotes on a number of different shingle selections. Most other roofing companies would only deal with one shingle manufacturer, so I appreciated the objectivity and options through South Peak. Pricing was also extremely competitive.

Nate Burlando from Distinct HVAC, whose company did an excellent job installing our new furnace and AC system in the fall of 2017, recommended South Peak to us when we asked about roofing companies he would trust. We contacted Ken Reid in the fall of 2017 to get the ball rolling. We agreed to touch base in the spring (2018) to replace the shingles on our house. Ken was very responsive throughout the period leading up to, and including, the actual installation.

In the spring, Ken came over and presented us with three different shingle manufacturers and a number of options for each. He left us a few samples. We requested he bring some others for us to ponder over. After a few weeks we decided on the Certainteed Northgate Pewter, a class 4 SPS shingle. He also recommended that we use a roof vent from Maximum Air (made in Canada) to ensure we had adequate attic ventilation.

In the second week of April, Ken's crew arrived as promised and completed the work on time and on budget. Each day (it took three in total) they cleaned up after themselves and left our driveway, grass, patio and deck safe to use.

His crew discovered that a section of soffit had been improperly installed originally. Ken brought his soffit specialist out to make it right for an affordable price.

The invoice did not vary from the estimate in any way. There were no surprises.

We have the finest looking roof and the spiffiest vents on the block in our neighbourhood.
