Nate Burlando from Distinct HVAC, whose company did an excellent job installing our new furnace and AC system in the fall of 2017, recommended South Peak to us when we asked about roofing companies he would trust. When one quality installer recommends another, I take them at their word as well as to confirm it by checking places like HomeStars. South Peak came highly recommended!

We contacted Ken Reid in the fall of 2017 to get the ball rolling. We agreed to touch base in the spring (2018) to replace the shingles on our house. Ken was very responsive throughout the period leading up to, and including, the actual installation.

In the spring, Ken came over and presented us with three different shingle manufacturers and a number of options for each. He left us a few samples. We requested he bring some others for us to ponder over. After a few weeks we decided on the Certainteed Northgate Pewter, a class 4 SPS shingle. He also recommended that we use a roof vent from Maximum Air (made in Canada) to ensure we had adequate attic ventilation.

In the second week of April, Ken's crew arrived as promised and completed the work on time and on budget. Each day (it took three in total) they cleaned up after themselves and left our driveway, grass, patio and deck safe to use.

His crew discovered that a section of soffit had been improperly installed originally. Ken brought his soffit specialist out to make it right for an affordable price.

The invoice did not vary from the estimate in any way. There were no surprises.

We have the finest looking roof and the spiffiest vents on the block in our neighbourhood.
