Our 10 year old furnace stopped working near the end of April 2022, and after getting a local heating company to come check it out, unfortunately it was time to look into replacing it.

After having a few companies come to do assessments and get quotes, my friend pointed me to Fair Deal Heating based on their Homestar review and RFD threads.

When I spoke with Ash over the phone, he was very easy to talk to. He was transparent and provided a lot of information needed to make an informed decision. There was never any pressure, and he was always available via text or phone to talk to about questions. We reviewed replacing the 10 year old AC as well, and he advised that it wasn't absolutely necessary to replace our AC as it was still working. In the end, with the information he provided as well as a very competitive quote, we made the decision to go ahead with replacing both the furnace and the AC.

Ash was great at providing updates on timing as we had to wait for a custom boot to be made, and as planned, his team came a couple of days later and were very professional, efficient and clean with the install. They were great with answering all of the questions I had, and walked through the new filter box, furnace, and AC afterwards.

Ash and his team installed a Rinnai tankless water heater and removed my old 40 gal tank. His installers arrived at the agreed time and completed the work in under 4 hours. Their professionalism, cleanliness, and attention to detail was their priority and it shows in their work.

I called Ash in September about our 27 yr old furnace and whether it would be safe to run in the upcoming winter. He did not try to upsell me on replacing a furnace at that time and recommended I run it until it needs replacing along with providing me with other options and information on the old furnace. Two months later, after completing major renovations in our house, the furnace was short cycling and the blower failed. Ash's team was able to come within a few days and replace the furnace. The team was very clean and meticulous in the work they were doing and their price was definitely fair compared to others.

Our furnace and water heater were both in poor shape and at risk of failure. We contacted Ash at Fair Deal Heating & Air Conditioning, who came by on the same day to assess our situation, and eventually set us up with an Armstrong furnace and Rinnai tankless water heater. We are a bit obsessive with due diligence so it was great to work with Ash, who responded to our constant supply of questions despite it being a busy time. By comparison we found it hard to stay in contact with HVAC providers we engaged with earlier in the process, who despite good reviews couldn't give us the technical comfort we needed. We scrutinized every technical document and product spec we could, despite all the information out there, you really need to talk to professionals who can assess your needs, layout, and options. In our case we needed a high level of clarity on venting that Ash was able to provide. We made our purchase decision feeling confident and informed due to Ash's communication and transparency.

Ash's installation team was amazingly professional. They arrived right on time on installation day. We had some good chats with them as they worked through the day. They made multiple quality of life adjustments adjustments to our setup beyond the core installation and venting upgrades. Things like raising the venting and moving around quirky lines/fixtures/random blocks of wood we had taken for granted as "just the way it is" for 10 years to make more space.

We were planning on replacing our aging gas hot water heater and gas furnace this year, but had to speed up our plan when the water heater started leaking. We contacted Fair Deal Heating and Air Conditioning based on online reviews. Ash quickly spotted inferior work done during an earlier repair (which I already knew about) but also informed us about a recall on our furnace that other furnace maintenance techs failed to catch. We were given a variety of equipment options, and he was very accommodating with our questions. They had to work in a tight space, but the work was finished in a reasonable time and looks properly done. We are quite pleased with the experience.

You can tell hes there to do the right thing by clients. He took a look at our furnace and not only addressed the issue but he also found other things that not only allowed my furnace to run more efficiently but also taught me how to upkeep it to lengthen the life of it. I called Fair Deal Heating & Air Conditioning around mid Feb as my furnace broke down and I spoke with Ash, who came highly recommended by one of my friends. Ash is very professional, knowledgeable, patient ( I had lot of questions), and advised me well regarding my options. He knew the product recall on secondary heat exchanger for my furnace and discussed some options for me to consider. No one from other HVAC company even mentioned the product recall. The quote provided were reasonable for different options and I found Ash was honest in his responses to my queries. He did not try to upsell, but I decided to go with a new Napoleon furnace as my furnace had reached end of life. His crew, Raj & Lovepreet were on time, professional, and did a clean installation job.

A week later I contacted Ash again to check if his company did Water Heater installation as I was very impressed with the work. I decided to go with Rinnai tankless water heater and his crew did a great installation job once again. I'm glad that I went with Fair Deal Heating & Air Conditioning and I won't hesitate to recommend Ash and his company to any of my friends.

Fair Deal Heating and Cooling removed an older rented powervent tank and installed a Rinnai RU199in tankless unit. The removal and install were done with quickly and with minimal interruption to both my wife and I working from home.

Our 24-year-old Lennox furnace was on its last legs. It would cycle on for a few cycles and then give up, gurgle and turn off. Luckily it was during March Break and the weather was fairly mild, so we weren’t in a hurry to replace it and was able to do some research.

We decided to go with Fair Deal Heating & AC after speaking to Ash. He was easy to talk to, never once pushed us to buy and was extremely patient with answering all of our questions. He was upfront about the process and that his team would have to cut two holes in the basement ceiling (due to how the previous owners had renovated the ceiling) to access and upgrade the vent pipes.

Ash is definitely knowledgeable about all things HVAC and I think he can go hours upon hours on this subject. His response time when we messaged him with more questions was quick.
He was also very good with communicating his ETA for his visit and his team’s ETA when it was time for the installation.

The installation process went smoothly. His team was professional, respectful and clean (they put floor runners from the front door to the basement, they even took off their shoes walking through the living room to the backyard - we live in a townhouse - to upgrade the vent pipe).
They also answered any questions we had at the end of the installation process and walked me through the new filter, how to open the furnace cover, etc.

We had a really old thermostat and wanted to upgrade to a smart tstat. Ash provided us with advice and that we would require a PEK for installation. We bought an Ecobee that came with a PEK, which his team installed for us and it works great.

We had a terrific experience with Ash and his team and would definitely recommend him to our friends and family.

I've had the pleasure to interact with Ash/newlyborn from Fair Deal Heating & Air Conditioning in regards to getting a new furnace.

I've actually spoken to Ash several times before getting my furnace; once was when I needed a bit of assistance installing a Nest Thermostat in place of a proprietary carrier thermostat already installed when I first moved in. He also had come to troubleshoot some issues with my in-law's AC unit in the middle of a heatwave. And now, recently, he came to assist with my furnace.

I had woken up one morning and it was frigid. I went down to my furnace and with some troubleshooting, it had to do something with the unit not being able to turned on due to some issue with the burner of some sort. I had called Ash and he immediately called me back when he had a chance. He immediately knew the issue and had sent me a Carrier service bulletin. Fortunately, my unit was on that service bulletin, but unfortunately, it was not within the serial numbers that had the warranty service extended for the issue. He had provided me some options, and decided to replace the furnace as it was over 16 years old at this point.

I wasn't expecting him to come any time soon as it was extremely sudden and he had just come back from vacation, but he was able to get someone to come and install the furnace the very next day. That's incredible as I have a very pregnant wife as well as a toddler, so that saved us a ton of headaches.

His team came in installed the furnace within around 4 hours. I didn't know better, I wouldn't have known someone had come into the house and installed a furnace; it was that clean! They removed all the old equipment, installed the new one, inspected a lot of piping an hosing and installed some replacements for me without me even asking. They were courteous, meticulous and extremely professional. Within ours, my wife and toddler were able to come back to a warm house and many, many headaches were prevented.
