Kiro General Contracting Ltd and crew never used proper material. ( see attached pictures)
They used roof repair chemical instead of Waterproofing chemical ( Blueskin membrane) ( see picture attached : Pic-4, Pic-6)
They did not used blue color skin sheet on the wall. ( See Pictures)
They did not dig 3 ft on each side of the crack on wall ( See picture: Pic-5)
They did not used Black membrane sheet on the wall, instead used garbage bag. ( See Picture-1)
No Styrofoam was applied on wall.
Backfill was not done properly and all mess left without cleaning.
They did not apply adhesive properly on the wall as they had very less quantity of adhesive with them.
They did not dig up to the weeping tiles and drainage pipe and even did not removed the gravel to fix up the leakage from bottom. ( See Picture-8)
They did not cleaned the mud properly with wire brush from the wall before applying the adhesive on the wall.( See Pic-7)
After doing the job, they never did the water testing by putting the water hose to check the leakage again.
On the crack on Inside wall, they never inject epoxy/ silicon injection, instead put cement on the crack. Even upper side crack is still visible. ( see attached picture Pic-2, Pic-3 )
After doing the job, they even did not filled the land properly and their material coming out from the wall as it did not stick to the wall ( see Picture-1)
This company seems not even Licensed as they did not took city’s permission to do the digging work.
They gave us 20 years written warranty . As basement leaked again in less than 12 hours and they never did the job again to repait it from outside.

Basement windows

I had 2 basement windows removed and 3 new ones installed. The 3rd was a new cut in the foundation and from the start was done all wrong. A new lintal was installed but just sits losely over top the window not doing its job. They broke glass and left it all in the basement that i had to clean up. I have two young kids and a dog that could have cut themselves. Everything they promised was a fight
These guys promised to stand by the quality of their work and everything was a rushed, terrible and a disaster.
The joke is on me because i paid you good money for absolute garbage workmanship and now i have to pay someone else to fix my home. Had i looked online and saw the reviews i would have never gone with these guys. These guys shouldn't be in business.

Foundation Waterproofing and French Drain

If you do not want to suffer the way I did and not want to have stress, frustration, disappointment and nightmares and not want to waste your hard earned dollars then please read this review carefully.

It was a major blunder to give the foundation water proofing and French Drain jobs to Daniel of Kiro General Contracting Ltd. It was a total unprofessional job and the entire work was a total waste and as a result I had to again spend over $ 10,000 to get the job redone from another contractor. I had read the bad reviews on Trusted Pros about Daniel and his company but somehow got influenced by Daniel's sweet talk. It is my impression that Daniel intentionally wants to do it wrong to make the customers suffer.

I had a problem in my basement with water seeping in from outside. Daniel and his brother did everything wrong. Daniel was only after my pocket and wanted to get all the money as soon as possible which he did (contract value $7,000). They worked hardly 4 to 5 hours a day. They did not follow any schedule and worked as and when it was convenient to them.

For the foundation waterproofing work the blueskin was not applied properly to the foundation and not to the footing level. The membrane was not nailed properly to the foundation. The termination strips were not applied to the membrane as a result the membrane was loose from all sides and hanging. Also the window wells were installed at a wrong height. The old weeping tile was not properly removed from the footing and instead the new weeping tile was installed 2 feet above the old tile which was totally useless. The new weeping tile was not connected at both ends to the weeping tile system and as a result the blueskin and weeping tile job was a total waste. For the French drain job, the weeping tile was installed as pieces with gaps in between so this was also a total useless job.

The water seepage in the basement became heavy as soon as the external digging was done and seepage continued even after backfilling. The backfilling was also not done properly. The soil was piled-up around the foundation (at least 2 feet high) and left it there to settle on its own so no grading was done. There was so much water in the basement that I had to get the entire laminate flooring and some part of the dry wall removed. I also had to rent a heavy duty dehumidifier for a month to remove the water (additional cost $600). After completing the job, Daniel refused to respond to phone calls and text messages. The warranty does not mean anything to him. Since water seepage continued I had no other choice but to engage another contractor (this time real professional!) to redo the entire job of water proofing, French drain and inside dry wall and floor. I was told by Daniel that he will provide photos/pictures of the work done (step by step) but despite my follow-up no photos were provided. I saw all the wrong things done by Daniel when the rework started by the other contractor.

I realized that I made a big mistake by giving contract to Daniel. I lost a lot of money and peace of mind.

I will be soon going ahead with legal action against Daniel and his company. You can always reach me on Cell # 416-728-1897

Basement Waterproofing

Daniel and Shasha of Kiro General Contracting Ltd are very unprofessional people. They will promise everything and will only do job partly. Will demand more money later. Hire if you want to lose money and peace of mind. I hired them for basement waterproofing job. They only dig up 4 feet, did some patch work and close the job. They knew the problem (cracks) were at the footing of the basement. When confronted that leakage is still there, they demanded more money. Do not let them step on your property, let alone giving the job. IF you encounter similar issue, please contact me at rajdeep1103@gmail.com or 647-717-4778. There are other people who have lost alot of money. We are filing case against them. BEAWARE of these guys.
