called boss air HVAC as i needed someone to install a nest thermostat. i live in a condo and the thermostat set-up was not straightforward. craig is listed as a certified nest installer and had great reviews.

after a little bit of back and forth, we found a time for the installation. craig seemed to know what he was doing. completed the installation though wasn't able to get all of the fan speeds working. not his fault though as the system didn't allow for it.

he did think he'd be able to add some relays and fix the fan speed issue - which i thought was great. he quoted me a price. and a week or so later we set a date.

he did not show up for that appointment. nor reply to multiple calls over the next two weeks as i tried to find out what happened.

when i did finally reach him, he told me he wasn't interested in doing the job anymore. apparently he's also working in edmonton area (i believe) and has decided there isn't enough going on in the calgary area to warrant taking the job.

OK i can understand that - but let me know. especially since you were a no show for an agreed upon appointment. i had other contractors waiting for him to finish his job so they could do theirs.

so, if you are in calgary - don't contact him as he tells me he isn't doing work here. if you are in edmonton area, be aware that his communications can be spotty and follow-up potentially unreliable.

The wiring was a little complicated as it was an Emerson system.

Craig installed in minutes and my furnace, humidifier and HRV are all integrated now

We got into contact with Craig when we bought a Nest thermostat and our furnace needed a common wire installed. I normally don't write reviews, nor do I trust contractors but our experience with Craig was unreal actually.

He came over with instructions to install the c wire, however, he quickly found that our furnace needed more than a common wire, it actually needed some additional upgrades (which he didn't charge us for) and stayed at the house until he got the thermostat working great. I honestly didn't expect him to do all that.

About a month later, I had another issue with the furnace (not related to the thermostat or previous job), I texted Craig because our first experience with him went well and he actually came over that same morning looked after us AND cut us a deal on the work. The following day, he even got in touch with us to make sure that the unit is still working the way it should.

In this day where a large number of contractors don't give a rip about consumers, it was definitely a different experience with Craig and I'd be happy to recommend him to anyone looking for furnace/hvac work

My furnace wasn't heating my house properly, so I contacted my thermostat support team, who then directed me to boss air hvac. Craig came to my house on a long weekend and was able to properly assess de problem, explanted what was wrong and fix it in just few minutes. A+

I called an Electrician, a nearby HVAC company and Nest themselves and niether of them could diagnose my problem. I called BossAir and Craig drove from Calgary to Edmonton that day to fix my problem. He's very personable, knowledgeable and appropriately priced. No smoke and mirrors. These are one of the good guys. I highly recommend Craig and his team.

Craig was able to troubleshoot a very confusing problem and resolve it. He was prompt, knowledgeable and followed up to make sure everything was good. Very helpful and great service!

Craig was prompt, upfront, and very professional when working for us. We initially wanted to get the job done for as little money as possible which would have involved installing an inferior unit and Craig helped us find a unit that was both affordable and very high quality. Compared to the other estimates we got, Craig gave us the best deal by far and for superior service and quality. It has been a few years and the units are working perfectly we haven't had to worry about them whatsoever since installation.

I paid the guy he said his name was Craig. He re booked me several times and when he finally came he changed his price when he got paid he left and we have had constant problems with the airconditioner and furnace he hasn't returned my calls about the problem even though he promised if anything went wrong he would fix it for free just a lame business and run by one man I believe we had to call another company to fix our furnace

I highly recommend Craig with Boss Air HVAC. He was knowledgeable and professional when installing our Nest thermostat. We look forward to using his services in the future when we need a new furnace or fireplace.
