Collingwood Fuels

Collingwood Fuels was able to make an appointment to clean my furnace within 2 weeks of calling. They arrived on October 16th pretty close to the time they quoted. After finishing the furnace cleaning, the worker told me that the upper portion (that they cleaned last time) needed cleaning but they would not do it. They advised me not to use my furnace until it was cleaned. After making calls to all of the local heating and air conditioning companies, I was told by each company that they would not come out and this should have been part of the work performed by Collingwood Fuels. I called Collingwood Fuels back on October 16th to see if I could pay them an additional amount to clean this, but after leaving my info with the receptionist, I never heard back from the person who performed the cleaning. I managed to find a small local company who was willing to come out and clean what Collingwood Fuels would not and again told me that it is all part of the annual furnace cleaning and inspection that should have been part of Collingwood Fuels fee. The person which came out to clean the upper portion could hear a funny noise in my furnace fan and pulled the entire housing from my furnace and Collingwood Fuels did NOT do their job cleaning the fan. It was full of dust and debris and a possible fire hazard. Plus because the fan is beyond the filter, it was blowing all this dust back into our home. YUCK! It is unfortunate that Collingwood Fuels did not do the job that I paid them for but it is fortunate that they told me to go elsewhere to complete their job; otherwise I may never have discovered that they were ripping me off and leaving my family and my home in a possible dangerous situation. Collingwood Fuels needs to do better, especially with all of the house fires that happen each year. Homeowners expect MORE from companies that deal with our safety and well-being! I have tried on multiple occasion to reach a manager at Collingwood Fuels but nobody will call me back and that speaks volumes to me and should to you as well! Please see the picture of my fan taken on October 27th, just a mere 11 days after it was apparently cleaned by Collingwood Fuels.

Collingwood Fuels came out to clean my oil burning furnace. They made an appointment within a few days of my call. They arrived at the time they were supposed to arrive. They took their time to clean my furnace thoroughly and even took off the side panels to clean the upper portion of my unit (which is not usually included). The price was more than reasonable for the amount of work they did and they went over and beyond my expectations. Collingwood Fuels is the best local furnace cleaners. They are very thorough, you won't be disappointed.
