A 1 Checkmate Wildlife Removal & Prevention.

Lui was great. Professional and efficient. I had another company come to my house and they said the job wasn't possible. Lui called me the day before to schedule an appointment and the morning of to confirm and was on time. He came and found the raccoons right away. Removed them with no damage to the house or harm to the raccoons. He provide a couple options to prevent the raccoons from coming back and that was it. Great job and great work. Thanks again Lui I could have a good night sleep tonight.

Louis found a gaping hole in our neighbour's roof that was perfect for squirrels to sneak into our roofs. He installed a one way exit and and patched it up later. He is friendly and courteous, and did a great job. Merci Louis!

I heard raccoon activities on my attic. I was not sure if they are only adults or some babies too. I called A-1 and booked an appointment. Louis came right on time. He was an experienced gentleman. He asked me some noise related questions and told me that it could be only adults. But when he went up in the attic luckily no raccoon was there at that time however he saw the hole where they were going in and out. He came down and explained me everything about the work needs to be done and extra prevention steps so that they would not be able to come again. Then he explained all assosicted cost. Once he got my approval he started his work right away. It took him about 2 hrs all together to finish his work. He installed one way door in the attic so that the animal would go out and never be able to come back. After 5 days he came back to remove the door and patch the attic back.
He did a great job! I have no issues since then. Thank you Louis.

Amazing! Louis is truly a master of this trade! We had a raccoon living in the ceiling of our brand new home. First we had another company, that shall remain nameless, come out and install a one way door. They were on site for about 5 minutes, did ZERO inspection and completely disregarded my concerns that there was in fact a nest with cubs in the ceiling. Sure enough for two nights we watched on camera as the poor mother raccoon tried relentlessly to make her way back inside. When we had chirping noises in the ceiling, we knew we had to act. We were lucky to come across A-1 Wildlife Removal. Louis answered my call and promised to arrive the same day. He was courteous to call me and inform me in advance that he would be running late, which I appreciated (having dealt with tradesmen a lot this in itself is an extreme rarity!). On arrival he quickly got to work. We both agreed that the ceiling would need to be cut to expose the nest. He worked quickly but carefully and protected my home and ensured that there was minimal mess. He cleaned out the latrine and the nest and was able to find 3 cubs, which had been separated from their mother. Cubs were placed in a warmed box outside for the mom to retreat. We thought this was the end of it but soon after he left I heard the all-too-familiar scurrying of the mother raccoon in the ceiling (so much for the one way door that the other "experts had installed!). A short phone call to Louis and in no time at all he was back at our place. He ingeniously used one of the cubs to lure the mother raccoon out of the house. Finally the house is raccoon-free, the mother is reunited safely with her cubs and the access point is securely closed off. All thanks to Louis! This was a perfect example of a master of his trade in complete contrast to the complete amateurs I dealt with first. My only regret is that I did not call Louis first!

Raccoon and babies removed from attic. Babies put safely in warm box for mother to come and retrieve. She has now done so.

A-1 Checkmate arrived on time as promised. They quickly scoped out the problem and advised what my options were. My raccoon problem was dealt with quickly and efficiently and the roof damaged repaired. Prevention screens were installed so i don't think I will have a raccoon problem again. Recommended.

Saw a raccoon on my roof and noticed a spot where it may have had access to my attic. Called Louis after reading the great reviews and wasn't disappointed. Louis was available early the next morning and called to advise he was on his way. After a quick explanation of his services he confirmed the entry point, inspected the entire roof and inside the attic. He even pointed out a roofing issue which could provide problems for me down the road!

He then provided some options including some additional areas that may turn into entry points in the future. At no point did I feel pressured to pay for anything I didn't need.

He set the one way door and advised will return in about 10 days to have it removed.

Overall I'm very satisfied with his service and expertise. Looking forward to being raccoon free from now on!

We had a raccoon in our attic and called A1 Wildlife removal and prevention. Louis came out promptly the next day and looked after the problem . He also made suggestions for some preventive maintenance which we had him do and he did a fantastic job .
