Basco Calgary Window Repair & Glass Replacement

We have used Basco twice now to de-fog two of our older picture windows that we're not yet ready to replace - what a difference it made! The windows look great and they're both perfectly clear inside. Prompt and great service, I would definitely recommend Basco.

UPDATED Nov 2019. Simon addressed our concerns, after this review was made. He personally came to our home and re-sealed all our windows that were treated. He recommended we keep humidity at 0% in home. One window did improve after he sealed it. The other ones did not. He has not recommended a new window pane (removed, new window pane, and resealed). He is nice, and I do think he is trying to rectify our situation.

We had 5 windows treated with defogging in April 2019. I suspected at the time, that it was not done properly. The technician procedure did not match what was done on the promotional video. Afterwards, I did explain this to Simon (owner); how the procedure was not the same as the video. He assured me it would take 4-6 weeks to have resolution. In July, still no resolution. He sent same technician out a few weeks ago, to caulk the window. The technician did not address all windows that were initially treated. Attached photos are July 2019 and Sept 2019. We've been in communication with Simon to come up with a resolution. Currently, he suggests we pay more to have him replace the glass. I regret paying so much at the time, and requested re-imbursement so I could deal with another company (we would replace windows at this point!). We really believed all the other reviews here, and on google. I'm very disappointed that I wasted money on this. I will update photos and review if the fogging ever gets better. We've been waiting 5 months.

I was looking to have to bedroom window hardware fixed as the windows did not close well, causing drafts and cold air in winter months. Simon came out and organized the repair and also a completed a defogging of our living room bay window. Parts had to be ordered and Caleb completed the repair. I found Simon and Caleb to be very professional, prompt in the response time from the initial query, polite, and very knowledgeable and proficient at their craft. I would definitely use their services again and recommend this company to anyone seeking window repairs.

My son broke the window beside our front door. Basco gave me an estimate over the phone and a quote upon visting which was the same. Once I agreed to have the work done they took part of the payment, ordered the window and once they recieved it contacted me immediately to come install it. I was very pleased with their very professional service, prompt and speedy service and good prices too. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommend them to any of my friends.

Vertical window was off the track and could fall into the room. Basco was able to repair the existing window hardware to make the window usable again. Also had 3 window screens replaced. Window screens were kind of expensive at about $100 per screen. Other than that, the window repair technician Caleb was very friendly and did a great job fixing everything and explaining it all.

We initially contacted Basco in early 2018 to de fog a few windows in our 30 yr old house. Simon, provided a quote but also mentioned (no sales pressure) that Basco could replace be windows if we preferred. He explains the advantages in terms of insulation and heat reflection and left us an alternate quote. We compRed priced to a few other vendors and decided to proceed with Basco. Sine then they have replaced approximately 20 windows as well as repaired/replaced hardware on a couple of casement windows.
We have noticed substantial improvement in heat reflection in our upstairs bedrooms during the summer.
