Matthew built a loft bed and shelves for my daughters room. He was very professional and understanding throughout the whole process. I came to him with a general design idea and approximate budget, and he walked me through what materials and design/safety aspects to consider. He was helpful and clear in our email and calls.

We had a fantastic experience working with Matthew to create a beautiful new formal entertaining room in our home. After sending Matthew several inspiration photos for what we envisioned our entertaining room to look like, Matthew took the time to understand specifically what we liked about each photo, and how important each element was to our final design vision. Matthew then presented us with a few different design concepts, and once we picked our favourite, he worked with us to finalize the finer design details.

Matthew worked collaboratively with the individuals who installed our fireplace, leading to a very smooth installation process. Matthew completed the building and installation within the timeframe initially communicated and was professional each step of the way.

The finished product is exactly as Matthew presented in his designs, and we couldnt be happier with the quality of the materials used and Matthews craftsmanship.

Our front room was barely used before, but with the renovations completed by Matthew, it has quickly become the focal point of our home.

I think it would be hard to be more satisfied with the work that Matthew has done in our house. From start to finish he was a pleasure to work with great communication, great design, superior craftsmanship, expertly executed, on time and to an agreed budget. Matthew designed and built an exceptional bespoke shelf wall and cabinetry exactly how we imagined. We offered a rough sketch of what we were looking for, received a detailed design and couldn't be more please with both the process and final product. Matthew takes amazing care of all details, communicates clearly on processes and timelines and especially while installing in the home, he works with the care that someone would show to their own space. If anyone I know is ever looking for millwork, this will be the name I share.

Matt Tormey came highly recommended by friends of ours and for good reason! Our enclosed breezeway has been transformed into a gorgeous and functional mud room, with beautiful cabinets boasting ample storage. We also wanted to incorporate a work area for those work from home days so many of us have now. Matt worked with us to come up with a design that gave us exactly what we were looking for. Matthew did an amazing job building built in shelves and a tv stand in our living room. He was super responsive and easy to work with, and left everything completely clean. The work was impeccable. We had to work through some electrical issues and Matthew took care of all of it. Well definitely have Matthew do more work in our house in the future. I highly recommend his services!

This is the second time we've used Matthew for built-in cabinet work due to his skill and attention to detail. He is wonderful to consult with, coupling exceptional craftsmanship with great design aesthetic.
In this project, we added a built-in cabinet for the bedroom, closet storage + makeup vanity for the walk-in, and a new bench seat plus cabinet for the bay window.
His ability to adapt his work to the space is an absolute essential in homes over 60 years old (ours is 120). We wouldn't work with anyone else for custom millwork.

We had some unique design ideas that he didnt shy away from and did an incredible job on the execution, we could not be happier with the result. From start to finish it was a positive experience working with Matt. He gave us three options for designs and we were able to select the option that best suited our budget.
