Matthew designed and built 3 beautiful cabinets, a bookshelf and a desk to fit under our stairs. We couldn't be happier with the results! He always responded promptly and kept us appraised of status and timelines. He was a pleasure to deal with and we wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.

We have hired Matt for 4 different projects in our house...and all have been stunning! The first was our living room fireplace and bookshelves with stereo cabinet; then our TV room with bookshelves and tv equipment; finally, the custom built-ins in our walk in closet. And I almost forgot that he designed and built 5 rad covers for our house too!

We recently hired Matthew to design and build an encasement doorway and transom window
into our mudroom, along with a built-in cabinet with hidden storage. He had drawn up a
computer draft before he started, which gave us an opportunity to have a better vision
of what the final project would look like. With his incredible creativity and meticulous talent,
he executed and transformed the space into something which far surpassed our expectations...
not only is the doorway seamless and looks like it has always been there, but the cabinetry
is truly a work of art. It literally looks like it's from the pages of House and Home magazine!

We hired Matthew to design and build our fireplace mantel and built-in wall unit and could not be happier. He was very professional to work with, we explained what we wanted and he provided us with various design options and an upfront quote. There were no hidden costs. We hired Matt to create a dining room built in unit to blend in with our 1929 wainscoting. We were looking for a unit which would house our wine glasses and more importantly - our poker chips! Matt created a gorgeous cabinet - including drawers sturdy enough to easily take the weight of the poker chips. We are thrilled with how the cabinetc turned out - we highly recommend Matt - attention to detail, he had excellent suggestions and provided detailed drawings before starting our job. We will use him again!

We hired Matthew to create and install a custom surround mantel for our gas fireplace. Matthew helped us with the design and ensured the surrounding woodwork met the specifications for the gas fireplace.
Matthew created the surround and mantel offsite so the install was quick and seamless. No mess! He delivered on time and on budget. We love the design and the small touches he gave it to fit the existing mill work in the room. He is a joy to work with and we’ll hire him again in the future.

Matthew Tormey designed, built and installed an entertainment bench for our basement den for us to place all of our sound system components, including custom drawers to fit CD's and all the wiring for our flat TV just above it. We reviewed several designs which he developed for our review so there were no surprises! He helped us shop for barn wood (on a Sunday) for the top of the bench. He assembled the top by joining pieces from several different barn boards. He lacquered the top about five times to get it smooth. We are pleased!
