In Feb this year I discovered a wet spot on the floor of a finished room in my basement. I went to the Ottawa Home show specifically looking for expertise to help address this situation. The Foundation Guys had a booth there and although there were other basement leak repai companies, they were the only one that offered a fix from the inside of the house - rather than digging outside & destroying landscaping etc.
This week, Patrick, Dylan & Tyler arrived at ~8:30 and by shortly after noon had found and repaired the large (~6' long by nearly 1" wide in spots by ~up to ~6-8" deep (through to exterior at the top. They were thorough and especially meticulous is applying the epoxy type interior sealand to seal the crack. In fact the solution they implemented provides 3 layers of protection - First the crack was filled with a quick drying cement;Second this sealed crack was covered with a foam/sponge strip to direct any water that happened to get in through this sealed crack to wick to the floor - this foam was meticulously sealed with an epoxy type sealant to further prevent leakage; Finally, the basement floor was fitted with a drain system to ensure that any water this dis manage to get wicked to the floor area would be routed to the ground under the basement floor.
