Chris asked me over the telephone my model and serial number of my subzero fridge, seemed to identify the problem immediately,
ordered the part before he came to see me.
Everything went smoothly, and he did a great job. He is
charming, professional and honest. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends, family and others.

Fantastic service! Chris was very accommodating on a next-day call to install an element on a tricky flat-top electric range. Chris was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough and quick - he was able to figure out the best way to perform to work on the fly, and took the time to make sure everything was working. Second time using uptown, they asked me a few questions over the phone about my Samsung fridge and showed up the next day with the part! No need to call anyone else /don't bother shopping around...too bad not all trades/companies are this easy to work with.

I recently had a flood from my washer in my laundry room. The unit in question was about 2 years old. I quickly came on HomeStars to try and source a knowledgeable appliance repair person. I found Chris from Uptown Appliance and could not be happier with the service he provided. From the moment I called Chris he was courteous, understanding, and very receptive to my questions and concerns. He arrived promptly for the appointment I scheduled and was very neat and tidy in all the work he did. Chris is the type of individual that will take the time to explain everything that is happening and why a particular part needs to be repaired. I can't say enough good things about Uptown Appliance and would definitely call them again in the future should I need another repair.

My experience with Chris from Uptown Appliance was excellent. I contacted Chris after experiencing an issue with my washer. He was very prompt in contacting me back and took the time to diagnose the situation over the phone, referencing his opinion of the issue causing the problem. Over the phone he envisioned one of two issues, also advising that it may be both. He said he would pick up both components and if only one was required, that he would take care of it and not charge for both. When he showed up, he was very professional and courteous. His honesty was in true form as only the latch component was required and without hesitation recapped there would be no cost associated to the second component. Overall, my wife and I were extremely pleased with everything; from the initial quick reply right thru to the quick turnaround and professional repair. We would definitely recommend Chris from Uptown Appliance to all friends and family. Thank you Chris.

The 3 year old Bosch range hood over my cooktop was making a lot of noise so I contact Uptown Appliance to assess the problem. Chris was very thorough and professional. After his assessment and having contacted the manufacturer it seemed inevitable that we would need to replace the motor which was a significant cost. However, the next day, Chris called to say that he had been thinking about the problem and wanted to try a few more things before replacing the motor. He persisted until it was repaired and saved me a significant cost by not having to purchase a new motor. We were very satisfied with Chris and would highly recommend him.

Chris is an appliance expert and very professional and honest. He fixed the keypad on my gas range promptly, was transparent about the costs and did it right the first time. He also provided me with lots of additional appliance maintenance knowledge and offered to answer my appliance questions any time. Thanks for the excellent service!
