I am single & retired and couldnt believe that it would cost so much for a CONDO kitchen which is small. . Although the quote was well laid out, I could not justify even doing part it through them.
I am disappointed it was so very expensive.

Millo Kitchens gave a complete makeover to our very old kitchen. Abishek is an amazing professional, who tries his best to provide a positive response and goes an extra mile to get a job well done!
I really appreciate all the hard work the team did on our project.

We hired Millo to renovate our condo kitchen in Sept. 22. Our experience with Abhishek Gupta, Mukhtar Ghafarzoy, Sam Malekzai, and the Millo team was horrible. We scheduled the work to be completed in November while we were away. Millo told us the renovation would take two weeks but we left for three to give them an additional week. The renovation took three months to complete!

Here are a few of the many issues we experienced over this three-month ordeal:

- We kept all our valuables and set up a motion detecting camera in our master bedroom. There was no reason for anyone to enter this room. While away, we received alerts and videos showing one of the contractors was inside our bedroom snooping around.
- Three days before we were set to return home, Abhishek told us one of the countertops we selected at their showroom in September was backordered. Abhishek blamed the vendor and we had to select a new counter based on pictures he sent.
- When we returned, we did not have a usable kitchen for over two weeks. Our kitchen and living room area were unlivable, forcing us to live and work out of our bedroom. We had to order take-out, wash dishes in our bathroom sink, and use a hot plate for every meal.
- Our microwave and dishwasher were damaged during the renovation. They were able to repair the damage to the dishwasher door but the dents to the microwave cannot be repaired and they refused to take responsibility for it.
- Our walls, front door, and flooring had holes, dents, and scratches. Millo did a poor job of patching up and painting the walls and door. They also used a dark brown marker to try hiding the damage to the lighter brown floors.
- Several parts of the new cabinetry were damaged during installation. We waited months to replace some pieces and Millo used white paint and stickers to hide damage to other pieces.
- We specifically told Abhishek we did not want the pull-out shelves installed until the end so that we could specify the heights for each shelf based on how we wanted to organize things. Millo ignored our instructions and installed the shelves at random heights. These shelves are permanent and cannot be moved. We paid to have a custom kitchen, but instead must reorganize where to put everything.
- Millo did not measure our floors properly and had us order significantly more tiles than necessary. We now have several extra boxes of tiles, costing a few hundred dollars and that we have no use for.
- The gas technician moved the stove gas line incorrectly and now our stove no longer sits flush against the wall as it was prior to the renovation.
- Millo ended up offering a small amount of compensation for the microwave damage but wanted us to sign a release. The release prevented us from sharing details of our experience on social media. We now understand why Millo has so many positive online reviews. It appears Millo pays dissatisfied clients hush money to avoid negative reviews. The release itself was poorly written as it had several spelling errors and listed the wrong property address (45 Dovercourt Road).
- Before completing the renovation, Mukhtar kept demanding final payment. We refused because our signed contract says the final 10% would be paid upon completion and after a walk through. Paying Millo before the job was completed meant Millo would have no incentive to complete the work. Mukhtar scheduled the final completion after several weeks of back and forth, but said if we did not pay in advance, Millo would not reimburse us for the microwave damage.
- On their final visit to complete the remaining work and fix damages, Abhishek told us Sam was not pleased with how Mukhtar handled our concerns and offered to reimburse half of what Mukhtar previously offered for the damage to the microwave.

Please do your due diligence when selecting a contractor to renovate your home and choose someone who is competent, does quality work, sticks to timelines, and respects your property. Dont make the same mistake we did.

After going through the process of renovating our main floor, we can say
without an ounce of doubt, that Sam and the team at Millo were by far the
best trade we worked with. Their customer service is exceptional. They were
proactive, they followed up with us and kept us informed thorough the whole
process, and they were responsive. We got several quotes before deciding
which kitchen company we were going to proceed with. So we can confidently
say Sam and Millo were very fair with their pricing and were willing to work
within our budget for our dream kitchen and laundry room. A few months
after the complete installation of our kitchen and laundry cabinets, one of
the drawers was loose and we emailed Sam on a Sunday evening, by afternoon
of the next day, someone was at our place to fix the drawer. The after
service we received is an indication of a business that cares for their
customers and their reputation. We continue to be extremely impressed with
Sam and his team and will definitely use them for our next project. We have
already highly recommended them to family and friends.

Thank you Sam for your amazing service and a great experience. Choosing
Millo was definitely the best decision we made during our renovation!

Sam and his team came recommended to me by a friend and we're so glad we used Millo Kitchens to update our kitchen. We replaced the cabinets and counter top, completely updating the look and feel. I worked with many contractors to complete other parts of our home renovation and Millo Kitchens was the absolute best to work with (from design, to installation). Sam was always there to answer my questions and I always felt confident in his decisions. Since I'm new to renovating, Sam made great decisions like having a huge, deep storage cabinet above the fridge and adding extra drawers for pots and utensils that I wouldn't have known to do. I would 100% recommend Sam and his team to anyone and he quoted an extremely fair price to complete the job.

It was a pleasure dealing with Sam at Millo Kitchens. He gave us lots of recommendations and we came within our budget. As well as a new kitchen, we also had renovations done in our living room/dining room, powder room and hallway. All of the contractors that came to do the work were very respectful of our home. They arrived when expected and left when their job was completed, even if it meant they had to stay late. Jonathon, Andrew and Dinesh inspected the work as it was being completed. If something wasn’t right, they made sure it was fixed. There were no added costs. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. We have a new home to enjoy. Will definitely use Millo for other projects in the future.

Our story with Millo started without any fanfare.
I was surfing the internet to find a reliable contractor to build and install kitchen cabinets, the bottleneck stalling my kitchen renovation.

We had the design. All I wished was for reliability and on-time completion.

A day after our visit to Millo, Sam dropped in and collected the prelim
data. Next day at Sam's desk, we saw the visual of our kitchen. We made changes to the design for the optimal use of space. We took home our copy of the design. Rest is history.

Sam, Dinesh and the various extremely competent sub-contractors attended to our requests promptly during the project and delivered the product on-time, making us immensely happy. Workmanship and the finish is so remarkable, we are the envy of our friends!

One last thing. I usually do not read reviews when starting a project with a contractor. My reliance is on the initial inter-actions and gut feel.

Being original owners of our 18 year home it was time for some updates. After reading previous reviews we went with Millo Kitchens. Sam came across as professional, courteous and trustworthy and was able to arrange contractors to complete additional small projects. After a bumpy start Sam delivered a beautiful kitchen. Sam stood true to his word and ensured any concerns were dealt with. In the end Sam and his team delivered a kitchen we can be proud of.

In 2012, Milo did my kitchen and they did a spectacular job. Service was amazing and they were always willing to accommodate and were very patient and willing to listen to my input. Because of their great work with my kitchen, I called them in October 2018 to redo my master bathroom. As expected, they did a tremendous job. Sam is very polite, patient and genuine and I would definitely recommend working with Milo.

Have a wonderful new space that is open, bright and most of all we have storage!
We moved our kitchen into the former living room to optimize space and we love it.
Some small issues, but Sam, was wonderful to to work with and made everything right.
