Plygem windows installed in new build last year. 2 cracked panes in first winter under normal conditions (-22C). Not covered under warranty apparently. 2 others have sashes that are not square and warped slightly - despite reinstalling with frames off-square they still let in a draft on the top. Customer service has not replied to 3 email attempts and local office does not answer the phone.

Obvious air leakage on our large window, rusting hinges on front door and rusting hardware which warranty does not cover, mold on door and window casements, always condensation when humidity inside doesn't EQUAL the outside below 0C - they will tell you to open your windows - what kind of energy efficiency is that in the winter. So if it's 20% humidity outside, I must have 20% inside - good luck if you have hardwood flooring.
Left 5 voicemails asking for delivery date. After 5 days and no response, the delivery truck dropped off the windows at the job site at 6pm. Luckily we saw the truck leave and we’re able to go move the doors and windows to a secure location. Very poor customer service.
PLYGEM supplied windows for upstairs of house. One has a twisted interior frame. Refusing to acknowledge manufacturing issue even though there own installation staff said it was a factory error. Tried to get them to remedy it but they are not willing to rectify a simple issue. Wish I had gone with another company. My advice .... DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BUNCH OF COWBOYS
Bought over $40000 worth of windows and doors. A window cracked after 5 months and they refuse to go or any sort of warranty or even give a discount on a replacement. Horrible customer service

Bought home NEW from builder in Spring 2017. Multiple window failures, from moisture between panes, to improper performance on cold days, to metal clad exterior colour fading in patches. Initially PlyGem refused to even inspect the windows. Afterwards they simply refused the warranty claim saying that these items are not warrantable. Yet they are clearly covered under their warranty. Filed a BBB complaint, but sadly they are NOT BBB accredited so not much hope there. Civil lawsuit is our next option. VERY FRUSTRATING

So disappointed with the exterior doors and windows. Fourth winter in this new house and every window and door still has moisture on them as well as ice forming in all corners. Our humidity is at 33 % and temperatures are -28. According to the Ply Gem brochure our humidity should be at 15%, is that even achievable! I would never recommend this company for anything. New house and we have to think about replacing windows! This is just not acceptable!!

Did not honour our warranty. Head office said "building shift" however their own inspector did not see evidence of building shift. Two other independent inspectors did not see evidenence of building shift and further commented that the window frames have enough "give" to accommodate any shift that may occur. What kind of company doesn't stand by their products... PlyGem, that's who.
Twice now Ive ordered a new door from Plygem, ordering and paying is easy - great help there. 1st order, warehouse lost door and had to re-order - eta 2 months. Ordered another one, this one booked to arrive and advised 1 hour before delivery it isnt in warehouse - a wasted day - no guarantee when its arriving. Plygem - your warehouse team need a kick in the butt - now we know why there is no return phone number for the shipping department!!!!

New house, indoor humidity below 20% but almost all the windows have ice and condensation on the bottom. I've contacted Ply Gem and what did they say? "Let this cold snap pass and see if you have any issues with the way windows are performing". Of course I will not have any issues when the weather will be warmer...Oh yeah...and the inspection fee is $102+GST
If these windows are made for warmer climate only, why are they selling these in Canada?
