I value someone who can do the job correctly, at the right price, on time and also explain to me what needs to be done. Steve has always done that with us.

1. Contacted regarding hot water tank that was not giving hot water. Steve assessed and advised the tank was simply getting old. He was honest and told us the cost to fix the tank would fix the hot water issue, but based on the age of the tank he recommend replacing the tank entirely.

2. Steve installed new tank and explained the process to us. He also followed up after the installation to ensure everything was functioning correctly.

3. Our upstairs bedrooms seemed too cold in the winter. I called Steve and he explained why that might be. Instead of charging us to come and assess our furnace, he took 30 minutes on the phone to educate on ways to improve our efficiency. Turns out our furnace was perfectly fine, but the bedrooms were simply a little too far from the furnace to keep them adequately warm. He suggested we close vents in rooms we don't use to direct more hot air into areas of our home that we always use. Great service here as well.

4. Finally, I last used Steve to install a brand new Water Softener. He gave us installation options and provided his suggestion based on our lifestyle. He also gave us a tutorial on how to operate the machine.

We had no hot water on the Victoria Day long weekend. This company was called to contact us. Stephen from SKS called within half an hour and provided an estimated ETA. He then called back to confirm the ETA so that we would not be waiting for him all day. He arrived on time and explained what the problem was. He replaced the necessary parts and hot water was restored. Friendly, professional and prompt service. Thanks SKS and thank you Stephen.
