New to London I didn't know where to find a plumber and work of mouth pointed me to a plumber who wanted an outrageous amount of money for my project. I found Aaron of Cheap N' Easy Plumbing on Kijiji. A quick meeting about the project and discussion about options landed a verbal quote of $900.00 for the entire job (stack replacement from mainline to roof, new laundry hookup, new kitchen and bathroom plumbing lines).
The second day Aaron came to my home he advised he needed money upfront to purchase the materials, having never hired a contractor before I provided him with the required money. The third day, no one showed up at my home to continue working. I called and text Aaron who replied and stated he was on an emergency job and would be over as soon as possible. He never arrived. The 4th day came and Aaron cut the main stack from the floor and began removing the old cast iron piping. Was left with no stack overnight and the next day Aaron requested additional funds to purchase more materials. I provided the money. Aaron never returned to my job site, I was left with no stack and no plumbing in my home for several days before a new plumber could be hired.
Be very cautious if you plan to use this company. Get everything in writing and never provide money as you go, cash on delivery, or purchase the materials needed yourself and then pay for labour at job completion.
