Thank you smart Movers for organising my overseas move. First of all they came and made very accurate estimate. They sent us professional packers along with all necessary packaging materials. Everything was packed and we've got another crew which loaded our stuff to special shipping container. We received our stuff without any damages and missing. While the customer service aspect of this company was great, we were disappointed on the actual move day because of how long it took the movers to pack the truck, and they were not careful with some of our furniture and we have discovered rather large scratches on our wardrobes and shelving units.
The movers were really nice guys but the younger of the two definitely does not have much experience in moving furniture and a lot of the work fell on the older more experienced mover which really hurt us for time.
We had all of our furniture disassembled, packed and wrapped before the movers arrived, and my husband helped with loading and unloading the truck, but it still was an 11 hour move for a 2 bedroom apartment.
The time I could overlook because that's how it goes sometimes, but what really upset me was the damage to our furniture. Because of this I would not be likely to recommend this company, more than likely we will move ourselves next time.

I'm a newcomer in Canada and all my furniture was delivered here from overseas. What I needed it was unloading the huge container and installing furniture. I called several companies, but no one can guarantee that they will be able to assemble the furniture, as it is from the overseas (by their explanation not Canadian or North American production). Fortunately I found Smart Movers company. Their representative asked me few questions about my furniture and offered me very good deal. I was very confident booking this company as person on the phone was very knowledgeable and informative. On the scheduled date three guys arrived with equipment and professional tools.
