We recently hired David to inspect a town house in Langley, that we were considering buying, and were extremely satisfied with the service.

We were initially concerned since we were out of town buyers and couldn't be present for the inspection. But David put our mind at ease by agreeing to have our realtor and a friend present for the inspection. He even allowed our friend to crawl into the attic with him to inspect the roof.

At the end of the 3 hour inspection, we were emailed a detailed report and David even spent close to an hour on the phone walking us through each and every page in the report and answering all our questions. He also gave us some handy tips on preventative home maintenance. This was above and beyond what we had expected.

It was clear to us that David is passionate about what he does and has his client's best interests at heart.

The plumbing was just one example of the issues David identified during his work. He has an incredible amount of knowledge and with a background in engineering I honestly think you'll be hard pressed to find a more pleasant and knowledgeable inspector in the region. I also have a background in engineering and was sceptical about the value of the inspection but David was very thorough and able to address all of my technical questions. Buying a home is a big decision and your inspector can make your life easy or very hard if they aren't knowledgeable. All I can say is use David.

My wife and I just had David Fairbairn inspect a home that we were interested in purchasing. David encouraged us to attend the inspection. He was extremely thorough, answered all of our questions as he proceeded and explained what he was doing. At the end of the inspection he took the time to go over his detailed report and explain his findings. It was clear from the outset that he was very capable and knowledgeable and was able to point out many issues that we could not see with our untrained eyes.
Most importantly, he found water damage in one wall and evidence of a small marijuana grow op under a staircase.
