We had hired C2C Mechnical to fix our A/C unit in our loft back in May as we were preparing to rent out the unit to a tenant in June. When he came by, his diagnosis was that it was an issue with the thermostat. After he installed the thermostat, we ran it for 10 minutes and he determined it was fixed. The temperature did seem to cool so we didn't dispute this and as the weather was still relatively cool in May, we didn't use the A/C much after that. In June, as the hot weather arrives, our tenant turns on the A/C unit and, at first the A/C seems to work fine, but after about 30 minutes to an hour, it stops cooling. We contacted Jimmy to ask him to take a look at it again and he said that he was busy but would try to schedule it in. This continues for a week where he would tell us he is stopping by each day to look at it but never shows up nor calls us to cancel. After a week of this, we got fed up as we've had to rearrange our plans constantly to wait for him to show up. We contacted our Property Managers to see if they can help us out as they were the ones who referred him to us. They finally sent someone to look at the unit on June 29th, 2012 & we were told to set the A/C to a really low temp (65 degrees) and wait for it to cool. And had us sign a doc to say the A/C works. We followed these instructions exactly but after a few hours the unit was still hot. It's been another week and both we and our Property Manager has been continuously calling them but there has been no responses from them. We felt that he did not do a proper job of fixing our A/C Unit and had charged us $344.65 for a $20 dollar thermostat replacement which took 20 minutes to install. He said that $75 per hour is the standard fee and they charged 3 hours of service. Total length of stay was 30-40 minutes. We've waited for over 3 weeks for him now & we've tried to be patient, but we've had to spend another $400 to buy a portable A/C unit for our tenant and still nothing has been done for us
