Believing I had a video card problem with my desktop computer, I called Amir at PCNix. He had previously repaired my husband's laptop, so I knew he was knowledgeable and would be able to fix mine. That same evening he arrived at my apartment and thoroughly tested my system. It turned out not to be my computer but the monitor. It had died. Amir contacted one of his suppliers and found the same size brand name monitor (24 inch) at an amazing price. He then offered to go and pick it up and install it the same evening which he did. This was service I did not expect and was so impressed that I highly recommend him to everyone. Within 2 hours, not only did I have a new monitor installed, Amir also installed an additional hard drive which I had from a previous computer. Before he left he double checked everything. Now I have a perfect system. Thank you Amir. Your knowledge and service are unsurpassed.

My laptop stopped working and refuse to power on. i picked up my phone and called around then find Amir here on Homestars. Seeing good feedback from others I call him and setup a time to check my laptop. He estimate next day and delivered on time. Aparently my power jack wire was broken and just needed to joint again. Work great now. I also got it serviced in the same time. I can suggest Amir to my friends and family.

I found PCNIX through Homestars as i am a huge advocate of finding the best on this site. I had a brand new ACER Touchscreen Laptop which I had dropped on its corner which shattered the whole screen. A lot of other companies I contacted said that the laptop was too new and would not have the part available for at least 6 months to a year. Amir was very helpful in finding a solution for me and letting me know that he would be able to contact ACER directly. approximately 10 days later, the laptop was fixed and the screen looked amazing. I would definitely use them again.

My computer crashed to the ground and all I could see was a black screen and the light from the power button. All of my data was lost and I was freaking out! I called Dell and they were going to charge me $310 to start with and said I would get my computer back in one week. I simply couldn't wait that long - and I wasn't very impressed with Dell's customer service.

After doing a web search, PCNix came up along with rave reviews about Amir. I called him and left a message...to which he responded in less than 15 minutes! I explained the issue to him and he gave me a breakdown, best case scenario cost and a guarantee to keep me updated if/as things changed along the way to repair it. I brought the computer to him late Monday morning....it was ready on Tuesday morning (in less than 24 hours!). I was expecting it Wednesday - he beat his own time estimate!

My computer is running like it's brand new and my data was recovered! Amir and Don went above and beyond the call of duty to help me fix my computer by throwing in a few extras that were a helpful welcome surprise.

Amir is the computer whisperer!!! I will bring my computer(s) to him only from now on! It's so refreshing to have a fantastic computer professional who is lightning fast, efficient and effective (and explains things along the way to you, as you need it).

Amazing service from PCNIX. My Dell desktop computer just over 1 year mark refused to turn on. Powers on but doesn't produce screen. I looked around for a technician that's passionate about his job and doesn't sell. I found this profile on homestars and by reading reviews i knew this was my choice of company. Sure enough, technician showed up on time and swapped out my power box. In a matter of 15 minutes requested job was complete. Tech was kind enough to spend a few extra minutes boosting speed on my computer too. Didn't try to sell anything and that wins my vote of confidence. I kept a few of his business cards and can certainly recommend to others.

I was looking to replace a cracked laptop screen in December 2012, and found PCNix online. While I called several places, I found Amir at PCNix to be very knowledgeable, reassuring, friendly, and not at all pushy, and the basic repair was accomplished quickly and professionally.

In February 2013, I again chose PCNix for a VGA cable replacement. The repair got complicated when the “correct” part turned out to be incompatible due to a quirk in my computer. Despite the time spent disassembling and reassembling the computer, Amir did not charge me, either for the parts or the labour, as the part did not work with my computer. He then explained the quirk, and expertly performed a more specialized micro-soldering repair to bypass the problem -- something which other computer repair people would not touch, lacking the expertise. The repair went perfectly, and the prices were rock-bottom, not even considering the skill and time it took to do the repairs! Throughout the process, Amir was non-intimidating and approachable, answered my questions professionally and patiently, and appeared extremely gifted in his work. He also went above and beyond in helping me out when I needed the computer back in a hurry. I would absolutely use PCNix again, and have already recommended them to several friends and family members.

When my computer was infected with a vicious virus, I was so lucky to find PCNix on HomeStars! Amir answered my desperate call personally and right from the start I was impressed with his professionalism. He agreed to come to my house that evening, arriving exactly on time. Watching Amir work, it was obvious he was a very knowledgeable and experienced technician. He attacked the virus problem quickly and methodically, killing off that virus in no time. During the process Amir was reassuring and so personable, explaining and educating along the way. Amir also installed a new anti-virus program and improved my computer's overall performance. We have already made plans for Amir to return to optimize my son's computer. I can wholeheartedly recommend the expert services of PCNix and the pleasant, caring personality of Amir, the owner.

I am completely impressed with the service from PCNix. I received a morning call from my 88-year old mother, very upset that her computer “didn’t work” - she only got a white screen. I called Amir, explained the situation, and he went out to see her the very same evening. He fixed the problem, which was wonderful, but more important was the “above and beyond the call” service he provided. She lives slightly outside his service area, but he made an exception for her. He went the same day, which was really important because she doesn’t get out much in this weather, and the computer is her lifeline. He was patient with her, explained things to her, fixed the problem without upselling at all, and generally reassured her. She says he’s “a really nice man”. So she’s happy, and so am I, because we now know who to call when she has an issue. It’s unusual to get such terrific and personal service, and I don’t hesitate to recommend this company.

I had "your computer has been locked" virus and couldnt get into my computer in any way. Called Amir and he cleaned it without a problem and installed a free malware antivirus program for me. Great Service. No more viruses now
