hanging four doors and a bench seat

Barb is a licenced carpenter who before moving to Toronto had her own company in Ottawa - Jane of All Trades. Barb installed two exterior doors for us. She completely rebuilt both frames. Our house is 100 year old house so nothing is ever true and square but after she was finished the doors fit perfectly.

We also had her install two half glass doors in our living room. She pays attention to detail. The moulding around the doors match those of the rest of the house as if they were always there. We asked her to attach the old fashioned door hardware that we purchased from Habitat for Humanity - it looks great. She is the third contractor (the first guy hung them the wrong way and the second guy took our money and did not finish the job to our satisfaction) to attempt hanging these doors and was the only one willing to install the hardware we wanted. She takes pride in her work and it shows.

Barb also built a window seat in our living room bay windows. We were very pleased with her work here as well. The baseboard she reattached to the front makes the seat look like it was original to the house.

Barb listens and is very detailed oriented. She cares about the way things look and discusses options with you before, during and after the project is completed. I have already scheduled Barb for a mini bathroom renovation, followed by a kitchen revamp. Barb prices are reasonable and her work is superb.
