Beachcombers GC

I'm a Beaches resident and hired Beachcombersgc to paint and do some drywall repair in my 2 bedroom unit. I was very pleased with the work they had done. They were very professional and clean. If any work is ever needed I would highly recommend them.

We were extremely satisfied with Beachcombers carpentry and painting. Jeff was very professional, polite and meticulous. He made sure everything was perfect.

Jeff and his partner were terrible! Totally UNPROFESSIONAL. They show-up with ONLY a paint brush... no tape, drop-cloth or any other tools. Simple job; re-paint base-boards = same colour. What I got was an INCOMPLETE and VERY SLOOPY job. the corners were messy, paint on the floor, uneven lines and, MANY UNPAINTED spots across the entire job.
Called him back to touch-up, which he did. But, it was still INCOMPLETE. In the end, I finished the job myself and, REGRET hiring Beachcomber's painting! they were No better than a couple of high school kids doing summer work. If I had the inclination, I would have filed a Small Claims case, which I would have EASILY Won given the extant of their POOR workmanship. Don't be fooled by their price. Quality Work is NOT in their portfolio.

Things started out great - Jeff was responsive, promptly scheduled an in person consult for a quote, and left making us feeling good about hiring him for the job. He said that it would likely take 3-4 days for completion.

The day before he was set to start, we had windows replaced and stucco frames removed, and had flagged that we might need to delay the paint job until the stucco was repaired. He told us he could take care of this as an add-on.

By the end of day 3, the stucco was still untouched and the majority of the exterior area had still not painted. We needed the project to be completed before an event, but by the end of the second week, we could tell that this was not going to be possible. Timing was poorly managed, there was a lack of crew (most days it was just him) and yet every day we were told that he needed 1 more day to finish.

2 weeks in, we found another contractor that completed the stucco work within 24 hours as things still weren't looking good with Jeff. He had his "crew" show up to the house and say that they weren't comfortable with the height, on two separate occasions.

In the end, the project took 3 weeks and had still had many areas that needed to be touched up or missed. We decided to break ties, and complete the rest of the work ourselves. We did add on the garage from the original quote, but it's shocking that this would've required 2 additional weeks from the original estimate.

Jeff reached out to me about this project, and was really interested in completing the work. This was nice to hear as we live in a semi, and the scope included painting the old aluminum siding on side of the house (in a narrow walkway).
It was a difficult situation... the ladder didn't have much space to maneuver and required 2 people to navigate for safety. Jeff took it on - no complaining.
As the project moved forward, I added more scope and he was very accommodating to take on the additional scope.
Once completed, there were touch-ups through-out and again, when I asked him to touch -up here and there, he was happy to accommodate.
Jeff and John were pleasant to work with, and the house looks GREAT!

Jeff was great, I need him again and not getting reply...HELP Jeff. Kitchen needs finishing.

Jeff helped us get our upstairs bedrooms freshened up after 20 years with new paint top to bottom. He was available the very next day and came back for several days to get it all completed. We chatted throughout the process and checked areas needing touch ups and Jeff was always agreeable to our requests. It was a lot of work in less than two weeks - at a very reasonable price. Thanks Jeff!

We had our water tank replaced and needed to find a contractor to repair the drywall; Jeff was referred to us. I contacted Jeff and he was very accommodating. He and his crew showed up as promised, the quote was very reasonable and the job was completed in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Jeff.

I am very satisfied with the work that was done, very friendly, kind, on time which was very important. Clean work, precise, fast. And I must say reliable. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone I know.

Jeff is an extremely likeable guy who does his best to meet your structural, budgetary and esthetic requirements. In our case, he was excellent at making suggestions to enhance the project. He listened, paid attention to detail, worked quietly and encouraged dialogue as the project progressed. Jeff obviously loves what he does, loves the Beach and does a first-rate job. We are lining up projects and would recommend him to anyone.
