I was about to start a complete basement renovation and was aware of problems starting to develop with roots growing thru the seams of clay drains running under our basement floor. Had three companies provide quotes and ended up choosing Toronto Drain & Plumbing to complete the job as I found Slavic from TOronto Drain & Plumbing to be very customer oriented and competitive in pricing.

During the course of doing the work I needed some changes in drain layout and Slavic and work crew were very accommodating - definitely very customer oriented! The work crew did an exceptional job and substantially improved the drainage layout and slope as compared to when the home was originally built. I found they went the extra mile to make sure the finished product was done right. I would use Toronto Drain and Plumbing for future work without hesitation.

I requested a 1” pipe upgrade and was so pleased with their work we went on to book additional work including a back water value and drain work as well. I was shocked by Slavic’s over the top customer service and extremely pleased with his team’s high quality workmanship.

Slavic is true to his word and very competitively priced. He had to do more work than he originally anticipated and he did not ask for more than he originally quoted. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the GTA. Slavic was one stop shop. I did not have to worry about permits, inspections, paperwork he did it all. Having worked with many companies to do work in my home I can only wish that they would live up to a fraction of the overall positive experience I had with Toronto Plumbing and Drain. I would go as far to say for plumbing just make one call. You will be glad you did. Slavic is a pleasure to do business with.

Slavic came and planned the work out, gave me a straightforward flat rate all in quote. His guys ca and worked during the hottest days of the summer. They wear meticulously tidy, respectful and did a great job! I am very satisfied and would use them again and recommend them without reservation.

We had a backup in the basement due to a misaligned clay pipe. Got a few price quotes (some outrageous ones!) and got mixed info about the extent of the problem. When we finally spoke with Slavic, we knew we had our man! He was clear, knowledgable and straight forwards. He also added some solutions for prevention that we had not heard of before... at no extra cost! The work was super clean and efficiently done. We experienced almost no inconvenience and the inspector was very pleased with the job. I would not even think of hiring anyone else for plumbing. Slavic is a kind and lovable, friendly bear and I felt safe having him in my house. Also, the price was quite reasonable and it didn't change despite unexpected complications. .. 2 big thumbs up!

The team showed up on time, did quality work, and cleaned up after themselves. The city did not have any concerns with the location of the work when they came in later to complete their portion.

My project was a total gut job, and I hired Slavic's team to upgrade pipe to 1" for better water pressure throughout the house and install back water valve. Slavic explained his work step-by-step without over complicating the process and was transparent with his quote. His team worked well within the schedule as discussed, and there were no surprises. Work was completed as scheduled without surprises, and he provided all instructions to receive the back water valve rebate from the city. Highly recommended.

TD&P installed an alarmed back flow preventer in my home in summer 2015. The price was reasonable, the company saw to the city building permit and inspection (which got me a rebate) and the work was done expeditiously, efficiently, and cleanly,

I live in a Victorian house in downtown Toronto on a non-street in which 13 houses are connected to a private sewer line (ca. 1904, clay drain pipes) which runs behind our houses and connects to the city sewer at the end of the lane. There is also a city sewer line installed in 1982 to which no one connected because of expense. The 1904 drain is succumbing to age, weight, tree roots and is becoming blocked and broken. By late November 2015, three houses 'downstream' from my own had problems which were causing back flow 'upstream'; these included blocked drains from tree roots so dense they could no longer be snaked out, silted up portions of the drain, and broken sections of the drain. On my recommendation, all three owners finally used Toronto Drain and Plumbing. They did excellent work: offering prices the homeowners were satisfied with, coordinating with the city (about 3 feet of the drain ran under a city 'lane'), dealing with inspectors in a situation in which the recommended grade for drainpipes could not be met etc. I especially appreciated Slavic's willingness to call again, in a friendly way, the neighbour who did not want to do work that would cost him but would benefit his neighbours; the recalcitrant person did the work as a consequence of the call.
Because the neighbour whom Slavic finally persuaded to replace the drain (his apple tree roots were blocking it) was so reluctant to move forward, I decided to hook up to the city sewer. Again, TD&P was reasonable and helpful. The price was competitive. And Slavic gave me very good advice about how to move the city of Toronto along on approving and doing their work for a sewer connection (it was done within 3 weeks of my application). The work was completed on the last evening before the blizzard that signalled freeze-up; TD&P has come in today to deal with the subsidence issues in the garden that were the result of the weather. Though I had paid in full in January, I did not need to nag to get them back to complete the clean-up.
I am very satisfied with this work.
