Master Drain & Water Works

Master Drain & Water Works did an outstanding job on the basement drain system in our old bungalow. They used a holistic approach to assess the situation before doing any work, so there were no surprises once the work had begun. The crew had excellent attention to detail. And, they were able to accommodate a work around outside, in order to deal with a difficult neighbour.

Walter showed up on time. I explained my problem to him. He quickly identified the source of my problem and explained what had to be done. He worked efficiently. In sum, my overall impression is that of punctuality, politeness, reasonable price, and good communication.

My basement floor drain was backing up everytime a toilet was flushed. Technician came out on Xmas day diagnosed the situation. He used a drain camera and found out the p pipe had collapsed. They were able to come out on boxing day to replace the pipe. They also found that we had a lead water supply pipe and recommended that it be replaced. Work was done on schedule and they cleaned up afterwards.

I tried another company first and they never returned my call. Vitaly answered my call, quickly scoped out the work and provided me with an estimate. He sent Walter within two days (at my convenience) to do the install. He and Walter were a pleasure to deal with and are highly recommended!

Master Drain rescued us from a serious plumbing emergency (sewage backup) with competent, lightening-fast and friendly service. We cannot recommend them enough and will call them and only them anytime we need plumbing help.

Also: they dug up our front yard to replace the pipe and then backfilled it so competently you can't even tell anything was done!

This is an exceptional company and we cannot thank them enough for their expertise in all aspects of the work and service performed for us. This included a thorough assessment of the cause of our sewage backup then getting it fixed promptly with great care and cleanliness. We also had a backwater valve installed, a leaking water-main valve replaced and a new, water service line installed. Our water pressure is at least 50-60% greater. Vitaliy, Walter and all of the crew take great pride in their work while providing excellent customer service always being available for questions or phone calls. Excellent value for excellent service!

I’ve had two jobs done with Master Drain. The first was rather large, replace main trap line to street. The second was today and was very small, but I was in a pinch and Walter and Vitaly came through for me. The work is reliable and this company has never let me down.

Recently moved into a new home with a sump-pump that was not plugged in. When I plugged in the sump-pump, the unit started to emit an oil smell and make weird noises -- turned out that the unit was old / clogged / and leaking oil, thus needed to be replaced. I submitted a request via Homestars and instantly got a reply from Master Drain & Water Works. I called and spoke to Vitaliy who gave me a range of options --- I opted for a sump-pump with a back-up sump-pump that was powered by a battery. He was able to install the following day at a time that was convenient to me. Everything was installed perfectly, and to my satisfaction, I would recomend Vitaliy / Master Drain and Water Works again!

Master Drain did an excellent job. I was in such a state with no water and a flooded basement. They were able to assess the problem of a collapsed pipe, give me an estimate and a timeframe.

The three man crew completed the job in one day, not only fixing the problem but cleaning everything up perfectly.

Options were given when Vitally & Walter came to inspect clogged drain at end of driveway; very knowledgeable in diagnosing issue & providing options available; work was done, quickly & efficiently, including cleanup. This team has a lot of knowledge, available always to answer questions; gave followup advise; when asked, also discussed old water pipe removal & took care of that also. Highly recommend this company.
