Carter Hardwood Flooring

Joe had his men come and refinish our 40+ year old hardwood floors which were in terrible shape. As well, they completely redid our staircase. The quality of the workmanship is amazing! We are so very happy with the results. The men were polite, on time, work extremely hard often with no breaks and stayed late to finish on time. We would highly recommend this company!

My husband and I got Joe and his workers to do our floors and he did absolutely wonderful. He truly understood what we wanted and he exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend him he is truly passionate about his job and satisfying his costumers. He has done mine and all of my siblings and friends floors they all loved him. A bonus was he was very family friendly. He truly is a sweet guy and great worker.

Hired Joe and his company to refinish our oak laid in place floors. Spent a considerable amount on new oak to tie in to the existing. Joe failed to mention that our original floors were quite thin and proceeded to sand down our brand new flooring to match - rather than discuss with us and replace the entire floor area with new oak. The result is that our flooring is warping at the edges, burn marks from the sander are visible in the flooring, and some boards are so thin that they have splintered. Our floors look terrible and get worse by the day - especially in contrast to our brand new kitchen and living space. As mentioned by other reviewers Joe promised to return to address these issues but never showed up to appointments (x3) and stopped returning calls.

I had hardwood floor installed for 1000 sq ft by this company.
The quality of work was very poor, a lot of gaps, nails marks everywhere, even baseboards were not installed properly. I had to hire another contractor to finish up stairs and fix whatever possible. I feel like they just wasted money I paid for exotic hardwood floor. This company is in the business just for the money not for doing a professional job. Unfortunately I paid them before I checked the floors and of course the owner did not return any of my phone calls after.
I would not recommend Carter Hardwood Flooring to anybody.

Joe Carter at Carter Hardwood buffed and resurfaced our hardwood floors on the main level and upstairs hall. Immediately after they were finished we noticed that the floor was scratching very easily. Joe came back once but as the situation got worse he stopped returning any calls and never returned to fix the problem. Our floors are much worse now than before they were done.

They were the cheapest company of the three we had give estimates for our 60 yr old hardwood floors, and they did a descent job. I wouldn't quite say great, because they let us come back into the house before the urethane was fully hardened, which meant furniture left impressions, but they came and touched those up a bit when we complained. Overall, they were worth the money.
