After another quality outcome and enjoyable experience working with Michael of Urban Castle Homes, we greatly appreciate the quality service this company is able to provide.

The tear down/replacement of our second and third storey decks was a fine example of project excellence:

- effective management of a fair written cost-quote and staying within budget

- significant time spent with us reviewing material options, discussing pros and cons and answering questions which made our decision-making easy and instilled confidence that we were making the right choices

- project started on schedule and finished as expected with ongoing communication and updates

- the high-quality results achieved reflected extensive knowledge and many years of experience in home building

- meticulous attention to detail including inspection of materials (rejecting any that were not top quality)

- extensive oversight and meticulous worksite cleaning each day

- proven trades, who have been with the company for more than 20 years, that arrive on time and expeditiously complete their tasks

- going the extra mile to point out where other repairs (i.e. windows) were needed, applying temporary fixes and refinishing (greatly appreciated)

Being seniors, a hassle - free experience was extra important to us. We certainly enjoyed peace of mind throughout the project and appreciated the wise advice from Michael. We were impressed with the pride of workmanship displayed by the team and also thankful for the value we received.

Urban Castle worked as general contractor to replace carpet with vinyl plank flooring, and replace an old wood fireplace with a gas fireplace. All of the work was done with a high degree of care, and the final bill was as expected.

Although they normally do complete homes, Urban Castle worked with my sketches of the project, provided me with options, and made suggestions along the way. As the project proceeded, I was kept informed on the progress. There was lots of oversight and quality control of the subtrades. The job was done on time and in line with the agreed - to budget.
