After renovating the second floor of my house I called in Model Space Designs to help redress my now baren windows, which included two bedrooms, a skylight and a bathroom. At first there were some communication issues, which resulted in the project not moving along quite on time, but once that was resolved everything went along wonderfully. There was a snag when an item I was recommended and wanted didn’t exist with a certain company, but after finding the item by a different designer for a higher price, Model Space Designs acquired the item and matched the price! I will definitely use their services again.

We hired Model Space Designs to dress several windows in our corner unit condo. We had them install drapes in order to dress up our existing blinds a bit. It was definitely a great experience. The designer was super helpful with lots of tips and suggestions that ultimately we went with and are very happy about. Along with the great design help, the installer was very particular and efficient. Plus, for what we got the price was very right!

I hired Model Space Designs to do a number of things in my home and was happy to see everything go very well! They handled a lot of window coverings, blinds, drapes, a skylight and even had some bedding made. The service and delivery were efficient and the installer they worked with was superb. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Sara from Model Space Designs provided exemplary service from beginning to end. I wanted to install window coverings for my condo but was not sure which way to go (blinds vs drapery). She was very patient and went through all the options until we came up with something that I was extremely happy with in the end. She has very creative ideas, is very insightful and professional. I am thrilled with the end product.
On top of the great service and product, with the extra fabric that was left over from the custom drapes, Sara made two beautiful pillows for the bedroom. A very nice and thoughtful touch, I highly reccomend her services.

When I purchased a new condo with floor to ceiling windows, I had no idea what to do for window coverings. I found Model Space designs online, contacted Sara and now a have combination of sheers, blinds and curtains that look fabulous and cost less than I expected. They took care of everything - from measuring to installing and it looks great!

Great experience with Sara at Model Space Designs! Sara came over and immediately understood my taste based on my furniture and proceeded to provide great suggestions for custom window coverings. Since the cost was reasonable, I ended up with silk drapes for my living room, roman shades for my kitchen and shutters in the den and all bathrooms. When one of the shutters came in with marks on it, Sara was very helpful in getting me new shutters. I am very happy with the results and plan to use MSD again when I'm ready to do all the bedroom windows.

We recently had our window coverings installed and are very pleased with the product, price and installation. We in the past had used a different company for our previous properties but decided to venture into the unknown and had searched for a top rated window coverings place online and came across Model Space Design and read the reviews on Homestars and decided to have them come and give us a quote. Sara came to our home and provided some suggestion on what she felt would look best and put together a quote for us. We still wanted to compare how our regular guys matched up and had them come by and provide a quote as well, both came in very close but when it came to negotiations Sara’s price could not be beat!

Sara was also patient and never pushy with us during the decision making process which took us some time, we had a lot of back and forth question on details of the final look as well as made some changes along the way. I believe she came to our home 3 times with samples prior to us even committing to her.

Once we made our final selection, Sara gave us a time frame for install and came in on time with the installation with no delays. Mike the installer came on the day and did a fantastic job installing all the window coverings. We got a mixture of ripple fold drapes/sheers and some rollers shades. Mike was very pleasant and certainly is an expert installer.

Overall I would 100% recommend Model Space Design, both Sara and Mike were a pleasure to deal with. I’ve actually already recommended them to friends moving into a new condo over my previous window coverings place.

This review has been long overdue! It was just over a year ago that I initially contacted Sara of Model Space Designs to consult on window treatment options for one of my design projects. I recommended to my clients at the time custom window drapery to cover and dress the floor to ceiling windows of their condo. My clients initially hesitated at the thought of “custom” drapery thinking that it would cost more than what you can get off the rack. But the long term benefits (both aesthetically and financially) of customized window treatments outweighed the initial investment. My clients agreed.

After speaking to Sara about the colour scheme of the overall design, she met with me and my clients for a personalized consultation in the space where the custom drapery was to be installed. She came well prepared with a host of fabric catalogues and offered her recommendations as to the best option for window treatments. My clients appreciated Sara’s depth of knowledge and experience in window treatments and at the same time, they were more than comfortable with the fact that I brought in a professional in the field of window treatments.

By the end of the consultation, my clients were happy with their chosen fabric and style of drapery (earth tone silk fabric with a polyester lining in a modern ripple fold style). Because of the nature of customization, it took a few weeks for the custom drapes to be delivered and installed. But wait was well worth it! The end result was both breathtaking and beautiful. The custom drapes enhanced the overall look of the design and my clients were not only thrilled but very happy with the end result. To this day, they and their friends often comment on how gorgeous the custom drapes are.

As a designer, it always makes me happy to know that my clients are happy with the end results. There are certainly plenty of vendors out there but I wanted the best in the field. And the best is Sara of Model Space Designs.

From a designer perspective, it’s been a busy year for me and I can definitely say without a doubt that Sara has been there on multiple projects now to provide window treatment solutions. Each time, she comes well prepared with her professionalism, host of fabric samples and her lengthy experience in the industry. She would always go out of her way to satisfy my clients and for that I'm truly greatful. Sara of Model Space Designs is now my go-to person for any future design projects that require a window treatment solution. I fully endorse and recommend her services.
