Custom Vanity & Bathroom Products

I came into Beaches BathCity with absolutely no knowledge of the options available to me for my upcoming bathroom renovation. All of the staff were very helpful and very friendly. They really took the time to explain the differences between certain products and how everything worked. When looking for a vanity none of the prefab options fit my size and storage requirements so I decided that custom was the way to go. I worked closely with the staff to come up with a design that would work for me. They were very helpful in explaining the different wood and paint/stain options available to me. It took about 5 weeks for them to construct and finish the vanity for me. The finished product is beautiful, I couldn't be happier with the products and the services that the folks at BathCity have provided me. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Bathroom reno

Their customer service was excellent when it came to ordering product and taking our money, and then it disintegrated from there. Items were backordered for months but we weren't notified, so when it came to pick them up in time for the renovation, we were out of luck, and moreover they tried to tell us we didn't need those items to do the renovation (really? a vanity and sink is an option).

We would have been ok with everything if they were at least apologetic or tried to help us, but they were rude and condescending. They also gave us a shower kit without a hose, and tried to tell us they had given us the hose. Finally they looked at the security footage to verify they hadn't.

Also, beware, you cannot return the vast majority of what you order because it is special order. Now we are out $500 because of something we cannot install.

All in all, buyer beware. Horrible, just horrible customer service.

Bathroom Renovation

Woulda, coulda, shoulda!!! Wished we’d checked online reviews before dealing with Bath City (Kingston Road location). Our toilet was broken and after looking at a couple big box stores we visited them and placed order for a brand new toilet which they said should take 1 – 2 weeks; at end of 2nd week I called to check the order and was told the item was in store and they’d called and left message. No message was left of that I am absolutely positive about but no biggie, we’d come down and pick it up. While loading the toilet into the vehicle, it ‘accidentally’ slipped from one of them that it was actually a floor model. When I objected, one of them stated there was another inside that a customer had ordered but hadn’t yet picked up so they went and got that one from the basement. Outside, I could see the box was deeply covered in dirt and dust. With concerns rising, I asked if an all-important flange was also included; the store-hand/helper then opened the box to check, and a good thing too, because inside what was supposed to be a factory inspected & packed box, sitting right on top of the thing was a half smoked cigarette butt! Hesitantly and a bit stumped, we took the toilet and drove a little ways up the road, about a block, when everything told me to turn around. When I got back to the store (no more than 10-15 minutes later) I explained I was no longer comfortable with the purchase and asked to cancel it. Immediately the fellow there declared in that case I’d have to pay a restocking fee and then promptly left the store. Restocking fee for what? It wasn’t a special order, just something laying about for God knows how long plus we hadn’t been out of the store with the toilet for any conceivable length of time. To my mind they quite willing to pass of a floor model for a special ordered one - at full price I might add - plus trying to pass off some dusty old thing for brand new, not to mention not appearing to be too bothered about pulling the old switcheroo, one customer to the next!! We wouldn’t have felt so taken had they made just a little effort to meet us somewhere in the middle either by offering to fully cancel the fee or at least split it down the middle. Instead the walls went up and they insisted on a 25% restocking fee. Needless to say we’ll never deal with Bath City again and I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE DEAL WITH THEM EITHER!!!! P.S: The most honest and genuine thing in the store had to have been the dog!

Service is a bit hit and miss depending on who is at the store. Some employees know more than others. Some charge higher prices than others. Product is good though.

Bathroom renovations

I had a good relationship with the store and the products purchased. However DO NOT USE the services of their contractor for installation. I had so looked forward to the installation after the selection process and design was so pleasing.
The contractor performed poor work: The bathtub was so scratched and chipped that they had to bring in a refinisher to fix it - so I am left with a refurbished tub not a new one.
The toilet seat was badly scratched - had to argue to ensure that they replaced the toilet seat.
The balcony finish was badly damaged by the workers. No drop sheets were used (this is apparently the typical practice of this company as they do not like to use drop sheets... be forewarned) I had to buy and cover all furniture myself. and then spent hours getting dry wall and dust out of grout and from in between planks of the hardwood floor.
I was sadly disappointed by the work and the behaviour of the contractor.

Bathroom

I had a brief but nice experience with the people here. I purchased a kitchen faucet and a few bathroom faucets too. They have wide selection over several brands, nicely laid out and explained everything to me clearly. never did I really expect to spend so much on just faucets but when we really got into it I was blown away and just fell in love with the design! I would recommend this store because they were helpful and friendly.

Toilet

I went here to purchase a new toilet for the new bathroom we had downstairs. The owner was very friendly, and they had a very nice, well-trained dog sitting inside the store too! The kids loved playing with the dog while I made my purchase. I would recommend.
