Initially we were very excited to sign up with alarm force as we were told we would receive "the nest" thermostat as well as cameras and garage door automation. I personally was very excited to learn that the app had a "panic button" which would allow me to trigger the alarm from my upstairs office if I heard something downstairs. Turns out it is not the nest and there is no panic button. Also the installer tried to tell us that the garage door motor we have wasn't compatible with their system, when in reality he just hadn't realized that he had pressed the "stop" button on the motor. I was perplexed to learn that the exterior cameras would need to physically plug into an outlet inside our home and that it would require randomnly drilling into our walls from the outside. Installed insured me that the holes would be filled with a putty and that the wires would be white and would be tacked along our trim. Well, they aren't white until the black cord runs out and 1/3 of the cords were, in fact, tacked against our trim. The holes are very sloppy and dry wall dust was left for me to clean up as well as all of the empty boxes. All of this after being blatantly mislead about the equipment is really irritating. I now have black cords hanging out of a grubby hole in my wall that I had just painted. When we spoke to a manager we were told we were getting "a really great deal" and asked what else we want. How about you don't purposely mislead your customers and don't make them feel like they're trying to get something for free when you call them on it?
