The Handyman Frank No Longer In Business

I emailed a description of the work required to Frank, and Frank's brother Dom came to do the work. He was professional, worked hard & got the job done. Our fence and gate look good, our front porch is now strong & not close to collapse!

Our front porch stairs were falling apart and I wanted them repaired before the winter. Frank was easy to reach and was able to do the work sooner than expected. He showed up early and problem-solved some issues with the porch and made a solid plan. Aside from the condition of the steps there was an unsafe part on the top he was able to remedy. He was focusedand did great work. Also he was patient with me as I am very detail oriented. He cleaned up well after the job. I am thrilled to have found someone with his skills and am more than comfortable having him come back to do more work at our house. I will be recommending him to our friends and neighbours.

We have had many handyman services and contractors in our 100 year+ home over the years; none compare to Frank. He is prompt, courteous, fair and he can do anything. Our kitchen was torn out down to the bare bones - Frank did all the preparation work including dishwasher, sink and tap installations; he installed our microwave/range hood, lights, flooring and paint. All was done on time at a reasonable price. Frank is caring, courteous and trustworthy - I would not hesitate to call him again and have so much confidence in him that we have already referred him to our friends. My list of "next jobs" is growing as I write this review.

We had Frank come in to put a window in our front door, change a leaky faucet, fix a broken closet and do some dry wall repair. His work was excellent! He also pointed out some other things we should take care of which was greatly appreciated. He was a pleasure to have round to our house and we will have him back again to do more work in the future.

I'm always so careful when hiring movers, handymen, plumbers, etc because you hear so many horror stories. When we realized that we had some work to do this summer, I turned to Homestars because we had a good experience with a moving company that we found here (Fireman movers). Dan the Handyman had the best reviews by far -- the clincher was when a colleague explained that he contacted Dan for a kitchen renovation but that Frank had taken over much of his business in the GTA. We happened to see the finished job on their kitchen -- it was beautiful. Of course, we didn't hesitate to contact Frank for our odd jobs, realizing that a good handyman is worth his weight in gold. No suprises here -- Frank showed up on time today, disconnected our downspouts skillfully, and was a complete pleasure to have in our home. We will be contacting him again for our next jobs!

Frank's work was awesome, This is the 2nd time I required his services. He is 100% professional and so is his work.. I recommend Frank in a heartbeat to anyone who needs general and professional work done. I will be calling upon Frank again.

Frank arrived on time and he was very professional. He installed our chandelier, baseboards and rangehood and I was so pleased with his work, I scheduled another date for him to return to install exterior motion lights. He is very easy to talk to and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend him. He will be returning to install some closet doors in the near future.

Frank did a great job and was pleasant and easy to work with. As he was working I noticed our dryer was suddenly not venting properly. Frank fixed that too! I would definitely use him again and again.

We've called on Frank many times for various jobs around the house. He recently framed and finished a bedroom wall in our basement which included hanging a door, rewiring a 3-way switch, installing a new light fixture and adding baseboards.

In the past he drilled a hole and installed a dryer vent, cut and installed slate tiles for a hearth and various other tasks.

Frank always arrives on time, gets to work quickly and completes the job nicely no matter what obstacles our 100-year-old house throws at him. He is friendly, reliable and easy to work with. I'd recommend Frank to anyone looking for a good contractor or handyman.

Frank was absolutely excellent! We were not sure who to call for these odd jobs around our home and are so glad we found Frank. He did a great job with all of the repairs and suggested and implemented a simple solution to fix the bathroom trim that had been damaged by water (he even fixed a treasured piece of art upon request). He was also neat and tidy and a pleasure to have around. We will definitely be calling him again!
