We've called on Frank many times for various jobs around the house. He recently framed and finished a bedroom wall in our basement which included hanging a door, rewiring a 3-way switch, installing a new light fixture and adding baseboards. In the past he drilled a hole and installed a dryer vent, cut and installed slate tiles for a hearth and various other tasks. Frank always arrives on time, gets to work quickly and completes the job nicely no matter what obstacles our 100-year-old house throws at him. He is friendly, reliable and easy to work with. I'd recommend Frank to anyone looking for a good contractor or handyman.

We thought we had a hole in our roof and found Luc's Roofing through Homestars. Luc came out to have a look at the problem which turned out to not be a problem at all - it was just an illusion. He did notice a few other issues and said he could fix them for their minimum fee which we found very reasonable. They came, did the work promptly and everything appears to be just fine - no leaks so far and we had a lot of rain this year. Luc was very friendly and professional - even my dog really liked him and he doesn't like anybody. He was very honest and straightforward, we felt very comfortable hiring them. A year later we were worried our old chimney was leaking so we had them come out to do an estimate again. Another guy came out and he was very kind and honest with us yet again. He took his time and told us how much it would cost and said he didn't think it was worth the cost and explained that we could hire a handyman or do the job ourselves and save a lot of money! You don't come across that very often! Although we haven't yet used Luc's Roofing for a major job we wouldn't hesitate to call them when our roof needs replacing in a few years.

We've called Dan twice for two separate jobs and both times his associate Frank came out to take care of the work we needed done. We first had a dryer vent installed and although it was a tough job (apparently our foundation is very thick) Frank completed the job quickly and neatly. He took care of all the little details and cleaned up after his work. The second job was to cut and lay slate tiles for a new hearth. We were on a tight timeline for this job and we called Dan on a Monday - on Thursday morning Frank came out to do the job. He got to work right away and completed it in less than half the time it would have taken us to do it. Again he was really tidy and gave us tips for finishing up the job which we plan to do ourselves. Frank is always friendly, courteous and easy-going. He never wastes time and their rate is quite affordable. Franks seems to have a lot of experience doing home reno work and is very knowledgeable. We would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to other people.
