We were extremely impressed with the installation of Bath Solution's diamond glazed coating to our bath tub. The existing tub was in good condition but was pink. By recoating it to white we were spared the expense of removing and replacing the surrounding walls as well as the logistics of scheduling that would have been required to bring in a plumber, tilesetter, etc.
The installer was a perfectionist! It was a full day job with the bulk of the time spent on prep. The work involved evenly sanding the existing glossy finish so that the coating could adhere, thoroughly removing and wiping up the dust after sanding, evenly spraying a specialized coating, and lastly, reinstalling the plumbing drain insert. He was very clean and there was no garbage left behind. Unfortunately for him, our exhaust fan was not working at the time and there were no windows in the room.
If you are considering resurfacing your tub I would highly recommend bath solutions.
A couple of things to be aware of:
1. There are very high fumes so you might want to defer a winter job to the warmer weather so that you can open windows.
2. At the time that our project was completed, they only had one installer so it was difficult to coordinate his schedule around all of his other projects with ours. If you keep this in mind and are not in a rush, the wait until his and your schedules synch is well worth the wait.
Overall, when the job was completed, it exceeded our expectations.
